  2. Going off that statement I’m going to assume one of his favorite hobbies growing up was eating lead paint chips. What a knacker. He still hasn’t grasped that making it an “us v them” situation with your own clubs fan base isn’t going to ever get you credit, I’m not saying he deserves any as imo he really doesn’t, coming 12th in the clubs 4th year in the Premier League isn’t something to applaud especially in the manner it was arrived at, we went on a run of 20+ games with barely a win ffs I’m not bothered how it makes me, and fellow supporters who don’t give him credit look he can fuck right off. This season I’ve witnessed absolutely dreadful football, and watched as our own manager has relentlessly taken aim at our support base, despite the fact he never had to deal with any actual jeering, he can complain about abuse but even measured and very fair criticism is slapped down and received a pop. He’s a fucking failure as a manager and is symptomatic of the rot this owner has set into our football club, we literally will never and can never move forward with Steve fucking Bruce as manager. I’m also sick to the fucking back teeth about hearing the fans demand too much, or our expectation is too high, firstly it’s only off dog shit managers like this boil nosed cock bag, or that putrid bag of piss Allardyce, fan bases should demand and push the team forward what are we meant to do? Sit about and go “ahh yeah buzzing for another year of watching Joelinton fall over, I fucking hope we can beat Burnley to 12th this year”.

  3. Don’t forget the wonderful day out at Wembley that they couldn’t even go to when they won the Papa Smurf Cup. Then there’s season 3 of the Netflix docu-soap-comedy show to look forward to. That’s been a lucky charm, hasn’t it? It’s their equivalent of Sheff Wed’s brass band

  5. This bloke actually tries to stick to his guns on this one btw, so I genuinely think he believes this, even brought up that McGeady had more assists this season .

  7. Saw something on twitter that; their parachute payments are gone, 13 of their players are out of contract, also McGeady gets a contract extension because he featured in the Play Off loss? So, they have to completely rebuild a promotion challenging team. That's expensive. They'll be paying over the odds for players because they're still a 'big club' for League 1. They'll be paying over the odds because they've a billionaire owner. They'll end up getting stiffed because their owner is inexperienced, and will likely end up spending £5m on anyone with a popular chant. In 17/18 their broadcast revenue was £95.6m, in 19/20 it was £17.2m (and 59% of their total revenue), in 20/21 broadcast revenue was £2m. I can't see how they can build a squad essentially from scratch, that's capable of pushing for promotion, when their revenue is so small. But, on the bright side, they can laugh at us because of that one time a fan punched a horse.

  8. This whole “expectation of success” thing is a bad joke. We haven’t won a domestic trophy since the 50’s or even qualified for Europe for what 10 years? And then we’ve got our arsehole owner whose net spend over his time of ownership is zero with fuck all investment in the club off the pitch too (plus a bit of asset stripping thrown in). You’d be mad to expect us to win anything (and I get the sense that most people dont even have much hope for it anymore). For lazy pundits like Savage and Ferdinand it’s a way of slapping down those “uppity Geordies” and because they sit in a studio with their mates, they never get called on it. So they repeat the same old shit year after year. For dogshit managers like Allardyce and Bruce its pure gaslighting...”oh poor me Im so badly treated by the nasty fans”.....because the real reason for fan discontent couldnt possibly be that their football is neolithic, absolutely hideous to watch, and set up to defend for most of the game and sneak a goal here and there from a set piece.....often ending in a shoeing by the better sides.

  11. This KLD business has the makings of a tremendous watch. He's obviously an extremely well adjusted young man, who has seen so much real life struggle and will have battled much adversity in his tender years. Oh wait, he was born with a wad of millions in his gob and will have been moly coddled forever, spoiled rotten, and never been told "no". So when he doesn't put the demanded millions up (whatever he does won't be enough) for their charge to the Championship they'll turn on him. I wonder how a 23 year old trust fund spoiled brat will react.

  12. Bruce and his coaches deserve some credit for the post-Brighton form. But the criticism he and they deserve for the pre-Brighton form massively overshadows it. We had 28pts from 29 games, that'd get you 36pts and around 17th in an average PL season. We'd scored 28 goals, conceded 48! Only the bottom 2 clubs had a worse GD. Bruce suggests that the only reason we were in that mess was because we were missing Wilson and ASM. Well Wilson had played 21/28 PL games before Brighton. ASM was available for 16. I'd suggest the reason we were in the shit was because he persisted with an isolated striker, passive low block, disinterested in counter attacks, long after it became clear it wouldn't work. We're in the shit because our defence played like strangers. Because we experimented with a variety of formations that all had the same basic failing; inviting pressure onto a poorly organised defence, with no reliable outball when Saint Maximin wasn't on the pitch. I'm a poncy idiot and even I can see that Bruce had the players available to play the system we ended up with from the off. No, Joelinton isn't as good as Wilson, but he wouldn't have looked half as shit if we'd played this style. Back three, Ritchie and Murphy as wing backs, 2 centre mids, two attacking mids, supporting a striker. Play on the counter and for set pieces.

  14. I don’t know about you but just the sentence “Louis-Dreyfus, who flew over from his boarding school in Singapore to watch OM take on Inter Milan in the Champions League in 2012” makes me think this bloke didn’t know where Sunderland was until he bought them (or mammy did). He best start researching what “fucking ponce” and other ‘passionate’ things the locals will call him mean.

  16. Christ. So he fancied himself as a player, gave up - fancied himself in sport management, couldn't hack it despite all his advantages in life, gave up... and now fancies himself as a football club owner. He's exactly what you say he is.

  22. His dad is a fucking little rat, and he’s a workmanlike, jug eared ugly cunt. Hope was honestly being soft there for me, as I’ve said I’m not giving Bruce credit for achieving fucking mediocrity and treading water from the initial total fucking disaster he had us hurtling towards. You can’t run about abusing the fan base and then get pissed off no one accepts you. From day one I didn’t want this Manchester United obsessed toad to be our manager, I’ll happily say nothing will change my mind on that as I’m extremely confident he won’t ever achieve anything with NUFC, he’s finished top 10 twice in his below mediocre career. Please just fuck off and take your arsehole son with you. I’m glad the prick come out as abusive as that, now he doesn’t have a single fucking leg to stand on when he whinges everyone is being mean to his dad. Cunt bag. Even the mackems think his dad is shite and those paedophile worshipping simpletons rate Sam Allardyce.

  26. It is a little bit strange in the Sergio Ramos situation...I think he will going to play the Olympic Games. Ramos is just 4 matches to get the World Record of a player with more caps in the world... And Luis Enrique called up him in the previous matches even when he was injured just for play 10-15 minutes... In my opinion, the only player should be in the list is Nacho. Carvajal and Lucas Vázquez (and Ramos) are injured. Asensio is in very pool level and he is not started and Isco is out of form, never plays. Anyway, is a rare list. Only 24 instead 26 players... Current reserves as Diego Llorente, Eric Garcia, Laporte, Pablo Sarabia IN..... Adama Traoré or Robert Sánchez... Marcos Llorente as Right Back.... and important players in the classification as Canales, Jesús Navas out or Euro. And probably Iago Aspas, that is the best Striker in Spain.

  28. As for expansion - unless they start winning stuff (which would take huge investment, which even guarantees nothing), they’re basically a club with a local fan base. From one of the more deprived bits of Western Europe. They picked up a few Irish fans via Keane and Quinn and various players. Even then you’re talking about a few hundred people spending 3-4 hours there in between the weekend spent going out in Newcastle.

  30. I love how nearly everyone who didn’t make it as a player has an excuse too. Could it be that like 99+% of young hopefuls he just wasn’t good enough? I don’t know why people don’t just say that. And as you suggest, his reasons for buying the club are - they were in the premier league recently and he was allowed to, because they were available for next to nowt in relative terms. Not because of the ‘passion’ of some of the most small-minded, ignorant, deluded, poisonous fans going. Especially since they’re that fucking small-time he won’t even have known about that. But he will soon (if he doesn’t already).

  31. Aye, that’s what it seems like tbh. ““You can’t buy this! In cities like Zurich, Monaco, nobody is interested in football, it limits the possibilities of expansion.” Louis-Dreyfus, who flew over from his boarding school in Singapore to watch OM take on Inter Milan in the Champions League in 2012, had considered a career on the pitch as a player or manager but was sidelined by injury. He studied for a degree in International Sports Management at the private Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy (RIASA) in Leeds and South Kensington, London, in 2017-18 but dropped out” From: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/feb/20/meet-kyril-louis-dreyfus-23-english-football-youngest-chairman The article also mentions his twin brother is a DJ based in Zurich, so none of this leads me to think the bloke is the billionaire business mastermind with a deep footballing knowledge like the mackems are portraying. He’s a trust fund kid with a little toy mammy let him buy, they’ve had another one of them kicking around in that Juan Satori for years now and it’s done no good.

  38. The 1990 play off loss to them hurt, no two ways but the events that it lead to was a very satisfying karma which may never have came about had we got promoted, it could've been more of the same low level ambition from the Mckeag boardroom and an eventual relegation. No Hall, no Fletcher and most importantly no Keegan. It lead to multi derby victories, title challenges, cup finals and European games which must've killed them to watch. Fast forward to the dark days of a lopsided squad who couldn't overcome the many shit Sunderland sides who clung onto PL survival by overstretching themselves for a few years and having the derby new manager bounce and getting their precious six in a row. It was shit and they had their night where we were relegated but again, with the same karma and hindsight that 1990 brought, this was our unplanned part in their club's utter devastation. Their absolute need to beat the Mags then stay up, (in that fucking order btw ) has completely crippled them. No derby the year after we went down and no money to spend killed them, ditto going down penniless and somehow managing to get relegated again! They are fucked, no two ways about it and as ever, the Mag paranoia that swirls around in their collective fanbase has played, in my humble opinion, a massive, massive part. Missed the second half as I was at a garden party where much hilarity ensued at their expense and then about an hour or so later they were forgotten about totally. They're going to have to get used to being forgotten about because if we, their nearest and dearest can and will dismiss them, what do they think the rest of the country will do? Glorious ending to the Sunderland story and much deserved. FTM lads.

  41. They’re just such an odd fan base. As HMHM said in his cracking post the club is basically built around challenging us, even when Donaldson and Methven took over they immediately took aim at us, that hairy tramp that wanted to take them over constantly tried to dig at us, all the while we are 1/2 divisions higher and absolutely shouldn’t be any focus for them. That’s the only thing that gets their fan base going, the knacker that lingers here shows it a sniff of Championship football and he’s puffing his chest out dreaming of playing in Europe “before your lot” . That “it couldn’t possibly be our lot abusing the manager, must be mags in disguise” is utterly bizarre, fan bases do embarrassing things just accept it and move on, when that tit punched a police horse I can’t recall anyone going “must be a mackem in disguise” btw that still remains the only thing they bring up about our lot, since then they’ve cheered on a pedophile and then defending cheering him on even given the hindsight of his sentencing, abused not one, but two sets of owners (soon to be three), accosted so many managers I’ve lost count, etc. Oh aye and let’s not forget the absolutely shameful scenes when they got a day out in London and promptly started taking baths and voiding their bowels over landmark fountains. They are a fucking embarrassment to the North East of England, the embarrassment extends past the football as well, the “city” is just a hovel, I genuinely think North Shields has a better high street, they’re either still bottom or among the bottom for their school systems (including iirc the worst Uni in the UK). They truly are always in Newcastle’s shadow, hence why we have Saudi Arabia trying to buy us and they have? A middle class businessman, a complete fraudulent loser, and the trust fund nephew of the woman from Seinfeld....
