Itll be nice hearing “good ebening” to start a presser instead of a hungover grunt of a bloke struggling to sit down.8 points

Oh sure, when Diego goes full bore he gets showered with praise, when I do it it's all "Shut up Dave", "Fuck off Fish". This is bullshit.7 points

Also from the Telegraph "Club Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan is said to have casually lifted a saracen sword off the wall and started polishing it during the zoom call."4 points

Some of the lads on our channels at the moment are canny. The fan cams Emil Franchi does for true faith are hilarious. I hope we don’t turn into an arsenal Fan TV club. Competitive outrage.4 points

I think Emery es able to get the best of the players too. In his first experience, he get a Lorca, a bad team in 2Div B (League One in Spain). The team was in the middle of the table when he arrived (in January) and ended in 4th positition. Played the Playoff and get promoted to 'Championship'. Lorca is a team had never played before in the second category. And his first year, he ended 5th, only 3 points to get promoted to Primera División. Later, he took Almería, a team in Second Division. He get promoted in his firstt year (and this year, Lorca ended 23º) to Primera Division In Primera Division with Almería he ended 8º, the best historical positicion of the team. And this squad has level to fight for not relegation. He had 3 very good players, but very young, as Negredo, Felipe Melo and Diego Alves and was this period with Emery when they improve his level. Obviously, Potter knows better English competition.3 points

Would agree with you on Potter, he's got Brighton playing some great stuff, but I think Emery probably has a bit more experience and knowhow having worked in different countries. 9 trophies? I'll have a bit of that.3 points

I'm just going to put it out there, I'm happier with Emery than if we'd appointed Rafa. While I would have given anything to bring him back a year ago, I would prefer not to go back now. Rafa likes his teams to sit very deep, and I think I've had my fill of it after the last few years. I know Emery is not exactly a swashbuckling type, but it will be interesting to see some new ideas.3 points

Sounds like a done deal then. Can't complain about having a manager that's won the Europa League with 2 different unfancied clubs. Managed big names at PSG and Arsenal. Knows the league etc3 points

Oh yeh of course he’ll be there. I don’t think we’ve made contact with the club yet. So he’ll have to turn up for work2 points

Jesus that’s a lot I suppose there’s not much league one football on Telly so they need something to talk about and it may as well be the big club up the road2 points

Yeh they’re more daft than anything else. I don’t think the analysis gets far past “shite” or “class” tbh. It’s certainly made the terrible results easier when you can laugh about it. Unless they let Fish on like2 points

It's Brave also going from a team that's in Europe to a team that's second from bottom of the PL and playing like a fucking Sunday League pub team.2 points

Conte to Spurs confirmed, feel a bit sorry for Nuno really, never wanted by them at any level, totally done over by the Kane fiasco in summer and Paratici has spent the last 6 months convincing Conte to take the spurs job while Nuno was still in post. Course the shittiness of that will be largely ignored by the media in Spurs case. From spurs PoV though, thats what getting your director of football appointment right gets you, when the time comes you pick up the best available manager going in about two days. That infrastructure is exactly what we don't have.2 points
