  8. Craig, you're giving him too much credit. He actually took our commercial revenue from £28m to £21m pa.

  9. Yeh. It's mad, especially at such a big injury too.

  10. At what? Carlos's injury? No one should want any player to sustain a horrific injury like that. Fucking idiots.

  12. Sly cunt tries a little back head at first, they're apart then the palace lad shoves him for the sly back headed attempt so he gives him a not so sly headbutt face to face. He ended up winding himself up!

  13. Moving up to the next rung of the quality ladder is going to be tough, but I'd rather we were patient and only spent money on quality with potential, as opposed to the Everton etc approach of overpaying for players who are the shortsighted flavour of the week at the time they were signed. 40m for the Icelandic nonce for example. If we overpay now we could very easily miss the opportunity to spend money on real quality later if we max out our FFP.

  15. That’s the most original and funniest thing you have ever posted here. I lived in Birmingham for three months and had plenty opportunities to engage with Villa fans. They are cunts.

  17. Mike Ashley took us from having one of the best commercial revenues in this country to being behind Norwich in the CR dept. We've got loads of room for manoeuvre and the fact we've had deals significantly below our market value seems to have mattered not a jot until now? This season will be consolidation and letting the new, professional people who've been hired to get their feet under the table, assess then put a plan into place with the new CEO identifying the new revenue streams as well. On the playing side there'll be players who will still have a future and will grow with the club and this is their time to prove it. After 14 years of the dickhead who throttled the club coming on top of Shepherd who was far from perfect, I'm quite relaxed about NUFC in the long run. Just like Man City the club will not be fucked about by the PL/UEFA as time goes by.

  18. Like you said earlier, UEFA and PL have pulled the drawbridge up. But this is a siege, not a blitzkrieg. We'll get in, it'll take time, good decisions and money. I see no problems there.

  19. Sign someone decent who can provide good service and you might find Wood becomes more of a threat as well

  20. For want of a better phrase, Man City are not the team we're doing battle with this season. Avoid injuries and red-cards, have some decent ball retention and keep the score line fairly respectable (below 3-0) and we shouldn't be too disheartened.

  21. They're fucking twats. And they'll be the same knuckle-dragging cunts who would moan bitterly if anyone made light of a serious injury to one of our players. The hatred for all things Villa is disproportionate IMO. Yes, some of their fans were utter cunts in the last 2 seasons we got relegated but fucking hell, we were all praying for something similar with Everton not 3 months ago. What goes around, comes around. I'm indifferent towards Villa. They're a reasonably big club with a decent history. They've got an element of their fanbase who have an elevated sense of entitlement but you can say that about most clubs. They did us a couple of favours last season as well - signed Digne (so he didn't end up here) and offloaded Targett to us.

  23. if we were to keep you to nil I'd be absolutely fucking delighted. can't see it mind but you never know., I still doubt it'd be enough for a win though as we struggled to break down forest and weren't even at the races against brighton. the quality of the opposition is on an upward trend at the moment and I'd be gobsmacked if we score on sunday! even if we were to sign some much needed offensive players in the next couple of days howe wouldn't play them. you and blue moon have fuck all to worry about.

  24. Manchester City is a game to get through, rather than enjoy. If I was Eddie I'd already have one eye on the Cup and Wolves games to follow. If we were going into it off the back of two wins, 2 clean sheets and a shiny new attacker looking to build on a couple of cameos I might be more optimistic. As it stands, keep everything tight, try not to get anyone sent off but spoil the game as a spectacle. Reduce the game to 5 minutes at the start and end of the halves. Look to hit you on the counter with ASM having one of his games. There's no way I'd try and match you man for man, press hard, press often, then counter or drop back into position. Pope will be the busier of the two 'keepers, Wilson the quieter of the two strikers. 0-2

  25. We were second best at Brighton but hung in there despite having an off day. I'd go 0-2 like Wykiki or worse and I'm relatively relaxed about this season. Obviously we're not the only ones who struggle against your side but I do feel like you're the team we've struggled against the most even when you've not been the best side in the league, although I'd add were getting better, have better players and a manager light years ahead of his predecessor. Still won't be enough on Sunday I'd guess?

  28. I think Tuchel went for the rugby player's handshake there where you try and crush someone's hand to show nails you are. The way Conte reacted seemed like Tuchel was acting the cunt. Dressed like a paedo as usual too.

  29. The loans are an excellent move for the time being, and there's always the possibility to buy with these sorts of things. It seems a perfect stepping stone solution for the season to aim to loan a few, continue to progress, and take to the market next season to chase permanent transfers for attacking players. We could be a much more attractive prospect than we are now in 12 more months. Not that we aren't now, but as has been said, there appears to be a bit of a gulf between where we are currently and the tier of front-third attacking players we're attempting to attract to come this window. If some of those we've been in for this window see us performing well in the league, then they may also push harder for a move come this time next season. Personally, I'm loving this window. The fact we're even in the conversation for players that PSG and AC Milan and the like are chasing is something very strange to get used to.

  35. Wood is the only blip across two windows so far, and even then he contributed to us staying up, so his transfer paid for itself in the end. It’s an exceptional success rate on transfers by the club since the takeover. The new signings have made us hard to break down but there’s no question we need more cutting edge at the business end of the field. Attacking players will follow this window, I’m sure. Whether it’s the marquee signing such as Paqueta or Maddison or a more pragmatic signing with an eye on FFP remains to be seen. It’s just good craic to be chatting about it all summer instead of wondering if we will stump up the loan fee see to sign Hamza bastard Choudhury on deadline day. It can’t happen overnight - we can’t sign a top player in every position that needs strengthening - but it would be underwhelming if we fail to add attacking players to those already signed this window.
