It’s the idea that Mourinho would be an upgrade that is utterly ridiculous.5 points

Hold on a second. You’re from Pakistan, currently living in the US and you go out of your way to listen to a British radio station that annoys you? Heads up, @wykikitoon you have a challenger.5 points

Wasn't this an episode on CSI Miami? You should take the Marlin and have it rigged to call out in Ghanaian every time she walks past. Like a Gold Coast Billy Bass.4 points

Oof! However, if you didn’t say “ Laterz, Lolz!” as you headed towards the floor I’m going to be severely disappointed in you.4 points

Jesus man that's awful. I forget what you do, maybe someone on hear knows of an opportunity? I'm sure they'd be happy to help. Except Wykikitoon, he'd help of course, but the man is uncomfortable with happiness.4 points

Mind, regardless of the football, anything involving Bari and Cagliari is quite the evocative Italia 90 throwback4 points

The cunt should be in prison. He's made a fortune in the last year, he's going to face no consequences for being the most corrupt PM the country has ever had. Somebody needs to take the cunt out3 points

https://sportwitness.co.uk/newcastle-preparing-make-staggering-offer-midfielder-club-will-make-good-use-money/ L’Equipe are suggesting that we're going in with a big offer for Szoboszlai soon. It apparently affects RC Lens in that Leipzig are after one of their players as a replacement, and if we give them a big fee they'll be able to make a good offer to Lens. Hopefully L’Equipe are more in the know than Caulkin et al. Someone on twitter posted this: Newspaper Transfer Budgets v Actual Transfer Spends January 2022: £50m v £85m Summer 2022: £60m v £120m January 2023: £20m v £48m In other words...they don't have a clue!3 points

Well I’ve kept this quiet assuming it’s going to somehow get called off or it was a joke or something but…. we’ve been asked to play Third Man Records in Soho on Tuesday. That’s Jack White’s record label/shop Jack White designed the music venue part of it himself and the sound is supposedly impeccable. I think this is going to be a little bit mental.3 points

With all that in mind get a sick note for stress off your GP if they make you work your notice.3 points

Some 15yr old lad has been killed in Manchester after crashing his e-bike in to an ambulance. These things are fucking insane- the number of fucking wideboys I’ve just barely avoided hitting* as they fly down the wrong side of the road, no lights, no helmets, no fucks given, mental. And they’re basically silent, at least with the unregistered trials bikes you hear the cunts from 3 miles away. * I try my best but the fuckers are too fast.3 points

wouldn't touch him with yours tbh what a contrast that move would be - from one of the most articulate, progressive and nicest young managers to yesterday's man, who is as bitter and as unlikable as they come. from attacking, front foot football to parking the bus and trying to shithouse a victory on penalties. no thanks3 points

Not sure if that's 9 or 12 months you mean but either way its not too shabby (and fuck working normally on your notice period btw, just do the minumum if you have to). It's inevitable if you've worked somewhere for a long period it's incredibly stressful to have a change like this forced upon you, but often it works out for the best. But you're doing the right thing at the moment, focus on your MIL and supporting your wife for the probably inevitable awful time ahead, this is more important, and you're brain will be turning its cogs subconciously in the background coming up with work/life solutions and inevitably come up with a eureka moment. May be you can take over Caroline Lucas's role? Good luck in any case.3 points

There wasn’t any argument, it wasn’t even a topic of conversation, FA Cup was the king and the final was the only club game live on TV. It was covered like Charlie’s coronation, wall to wall all day3 points

The Youtube algorithm has picked up that NUFC fans are all of a sudden desparate for content, it will feed me just about anything. I think I listened to about 5 minutes of Goldbridge or whats his name the other day.3 points

Cheers. Looks like I'm getting 9 months salary Inc 3 months notice, so not too shabby. I'm going to be well pissed off if I have actually work my notice. Going to need a couple of days to actually process everything but it might actually work out ok3 points

They have set a starting price and are waiting for an auction to reach almost those terms. And if they get that interest, they may sell it for expensive prices. We sold Sissoko (30) Wijnaldum (25) after being relegated almost 10 years ago when the economic power of the teams was not so high. Burnley sold Collins (21) and Cornet (18) last year after falling out. Ake was sold by Bournemouth for just over 40 million. And I remember in recent times movements that are quite high for players who come out of the Championship. Bellingham, Joao Pedro, Watkins, Buendía, Pickford, Ramsdale, Sessegnon, Godfrey... All at prices between 25 and 30 million. Even Maddison himself left Norwich for almost 25 million to join Leicester. There are teams like Aston Villa or Wolverhampton that seem willing to make money. Others like Everton who will have to rebuild so as not to experience the same relegation problem. West Ham could be forced to participate in this auction if Rice leaves. Even Tottenham could be an option. We'll see how Arsenal does if they don't get Caicedo. If Southampton and Leicester get two or three teams to fight for them from a fair starting price that could be around 25-30 million... Perhaps they are close to one of them raising the bet to 40 million and approach those 50-52 who say they ask.2 points

Trivia boy Alex will like this one: West Ham are the first team in English football ever to win more games in Europe than they did in their domestic league. 12 in Europe, 11 in the PL.2 points
