  1. Managed to lose my Toontastic account details for a while, just got back in, so here is my slightly delayed reaction to the final: Fucking get in!!!! I was expecting another anti-climactic 2-0 loss with barely a moment to shout for. But not only did the team show up, not only did they compete, but they gave a complete performance. Tactics, effort, quality, bravery, big boy balls - we even scored from a corner, that never happens, what a time to pull it all together! I’ve rewatched the match back in full including all the buildup and celebration afterwards; I’ve done the same with the commentary on 5 live (incidentally they had Isaac Hayden on throughout the match, spoke really well, had great things to say about Howe); I’m still hoovering up all the analysis Youtube can throw at me, podcasts, the radio Newcastle special. Haven’t got bored of it yet 🙂 I had a much longer version of this post, but it’s all stuff that’s been said more eloquently elsewhere, so I’ve trimmed down to keep my gushing at a minimum. Right, Youtube is telling me to watch some bloke called Adam Clery talk about the match, so I’ll go do that…

  2. I managed to get the bairn stood on the right hand pillar of the entrance to Stowell Street so she got a canny view.

  3. Seemingly 2 MLF players liked some of the posts on social media yesterday. Followed by fewm on Ready to Groom https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/seelt-and-samed.1652307/

  4. I often wonder whether he has any insight into how; Paying for a good manager + Supporting him with some quality signings = A club that has tripled in value in 3 seasons. It's almost like he isn't the business genius he thinks he is, and not every business can be run like a shitty, cut price trainer shop.

  5. How dare you? Only last week he said he was delighted cos he's "a Geordie, and that never leaves you". It seemed to have left him for the duration of his time as manager when he treated the role like a giant fucking doss though.

  11. Pure speculation but I reckon Rafa will have been delighted for the fans and everyone connected with the club whereas I bet our winning the league cup will have pissed off self proclaimed Newcastle fan Steve Bruce. Which is nice

  12. Great when he got all back room staff to hold cup up individually

  13. More likely he's accessed and stolen all the data from the federal databases, he's had access to absolutely everything, so he's got what he wanted Cost cutting and firings just an enjoyable smokescreen for the evil prick

  16. You know when they say you don't get funny right wing comedians? Keith overlaps with that sentiment regarding us.

  17. They apparently had a super duper Flag display yesterday that outshone the town moor event The comments about our Parade will go on today once they climb out of their sister's beds

  18. This. I enjoyed it. The crowds at Haymarket were insane. I also went to the town Moor, then got some food at Jesmond, getting the crowds die down before getting the Metro back. Plenty of portaloos at the town Moor @RobinRobin and @Christmas Tree 👍

  27. It just re-occurred to me earlier that Howe got us to a cup final and the CL in his first full season as manager. Absolutely ridiculous achievement.

  29. Tbf this one's got Carver saying he still thinks he's the best coach in the Premier League on it. None of the others have been so bold.

  30. Well if there ever an 'after the lord mayor's show' occasion this should be it. If we win Eddie is a genius.

  31. Tricky one this- coming off the back of such an incredible performance making the Dippers look ordinary, it’ll be easy to think we’ll turn these inside out. And we will. 5-0. Dan Burn hat trick, all the same header, and two each from Sean Neave and Jamal Lewis.

  36. 💯 it was such a waste of a decade and a half. For us and him. But he probably made decent money out of owning the club, which is all he’s arsed about

  37. Sky, ITV and CNN?!? had streams of it too so the total numbers were even higher. If I’d been home I’d probably have done the parade and watched the event in a boozer too but it was funny as fuck watching the players celebrate on stage - Bruno stole the show bit Isak was class too. Final word has go to Eddie. He looked like he was having a ball and seemed more relaxed on stage in front of 100k fans and a live global audience than he does being interviewed post-match.

  38. If we take their approach to counting attendance there were actually 600,000 people out today

  39. I enjoyed this. It was a bit cheesy, a bit 'local' but the players bought into it, massive turnout, entire city united around the football club. Looks like the stream had 40k watching as well from around the world.. lots of people impressed with the turnout and so on. Positive day for the club, and everyone associated with it.
