Gentlemen *tips hat* I’m putting today’s win down to the fact that we had an old skool catch up today. JawD kindly invited myself, Pud, Jill and Ritchie to the game. I also took that new baby that I had 5 minutes ago and gave him the day off his GCSE revision. There was lots of reminiscing and disbelief at how old we are. Anyway, beating that lot will always be amongst my happiest days and it was much needed today ❤️16 points

I bumped into Eddie and offered to buy him a pint, one lead to a few more and Eddie's not from these parts, he was singing 'my way' after just the fourth. By the end of the night he was in an ambulance. The club are trying to keep it quiet to save Eddie from being called a shandy drinker.7 points

Loved the tribute to Keegan btw. Shame he wasn't there to see it. The world is a poorer place for his reclusiveness.5 points

Well unlike @ohhh_yeah I haven’t won a fortune and been jetting off around the world ….congratulations by the way, great stuff. But I managed to jettison my phone into fuckin orbit and shatter the fucker, and then the pain in the arse of forgetting my password! ….and due to low funds because of serious liver abuse (said liver being on its arse) because of celebrating like a bastid lunatic for what seems like months, a health worker mate of mine wondering how I’m still alive …but here I am, albeit a dribbling idiot and today has only added to that …..HTFL You beautiful black and white bastards5 points

Just clicked out of interest, third post down, howay, which one of us is this?5 points

As much as the first half was even, second half was anything but. We were at it from the start of the second half and only stopped when the game was won. Brilliant performance. Even a draw on Wednesday takes us 3rd but I believe we can do one better. Isak is due a goal after all5 points

I like it that way. I still think Mainoo is a going to be a good player but look at the way they were going on about him a year ago. There’s loads of pressure on any youngsters breaking through at Man Utd at the moment because they’re desperate for saviours.5 points

They are probably doing Wilson a favour. He’d only blow a hammy or have one of his tits explode again.5 points

Put sky on to see what they're saying about their main match today.... It's basically a celebration of Liverpool extending Salah's contract. Honestly, if you swapped out the sky logos and replaced them with LFCTV logos you wouldn't know the difference.5 points

I actually think it's rather gratifying we're doing what we're doing despite the roadblocks.5 points

Aye completely. I know there are people who think we should be being more bold in looking for loopholes and stuff, but the rest of the league has it in for us, and if we look for loopholes in ways that other clubs can't exploit, we'll get hit with a deduction. Even if they could exploit it, they might come down on us cos it's us and they know where we're likely headed if we're allowed to take the piss. Where we are right now, a points deduction would be enough to keep us out of the CL. Which has implications not just on our income, but on our ability to bring in the players we need to kick on. Not making the CL is probably a bigger handbrake on the project than having to meet the PSR rules as it stands. That's largely because we've bought so well and have a brilliant manager and coaching team. I think we're being squeaky squeaky clean now because we genuinely can't afford not to be. Whether we take a risk in future will depend - it's a race between us getting our income to where it needs to be so we don't need to break the rules vs getting the squad where it needs to be so we're the sort of team that has enough points to swallow a deduction and still make CL. Realistically I think the former wins and we get to where we need to be without ever coming up with a novel loophole.5 points

We're finishing third imo. If Arsenal implode second isn't even impossible. We've got to get away from this negativity and self doubt of the past. We're mint now man, there on merit. Of the teams above us, we've drawn the champions elect at home and we'll beaten them away in a final, and beaten Arsenal and Forest both THREE times.4 points

The SMB match thread on us, removed to the private forum 30 seconds after FT, is a thing of beauty BTW. Apparently ManU have accepted the brown bag bribe to let us win. The fewm really warms your cockles on these cold spring nights.4 points

My conclusion from reading Borson's piece is that we should have no qualms about breaking UEFA's FFP rules. You get a fine, but that's about it. If you get into the CL by breaking the rules (and it's EXTREMELY unlikely that you'll be banned from participating) the money you make from being in the CL will MASSIVELY dwarf any fines you'll get for breaking the rules.4 points
