Not better. Gouffran was a decent centre forward when he played for Bordeaux but he was already not that good as a side midfielder... Rolan is also a utility player. Last year, he used to be at the right place at the right time as he scored most of his goals in the 6-yard box. But he remains inconsistent and doesn't have a fighting spirit. Plus he had a few issues with his teammates and the coach.

Here in Bordeaux, we consider that he is clearly overrated this summer and it might not be the same next year. This is the perfect time to let him go. I'd rather see him join another club as I'm not confident at all on how a good signing he might be for the club. Btw he missed the training session this afternoon and has only been linked to Newcastle.
