  1. I couldn't bring myself to vote for labour last time after Iraq so switched to Libdem because they were the only ones saying they would scrap trident at a time when we knew the cuts were coming, not that they stuck to any of their policies as soon as they got a whiff of power, the fucking sell outs.

I'm done with the mainstream parties until there's a credible alternative. Until then it's a protest vote for me.

I hear that a lot, which is odd given they didn't win the election - or come even close!

They achieved a couple of major coups from their manifesto, 10k income tax, Alternative Vote, 15 hours childcare for 3-4 year olds.

  2. Honestly though, my hatred of all things Tory is visceral.

I was 11 when Thatcher got in, and witnessed the destruction she and her mob unleashed on this country with increasing dismay as I grew older.

The thing that I find most repellant about the cunts is that their default target is the "benefit scrounger" underclass- a thing that was largely nonexistent until their fucking policies took effect. They created the thing they hate most.

The greatest trick these fuckers ever pulled was getting working class people to vote for them to stop "these benefit scroungers".

If I find out someone has voted Tory, all bets are off regarding reasoned debate- you vote Tory, you are a cunt.

  3. The only positive I can see from this is getting in the champions league will no longer be a golden goose, so the league won't have four teams dominating anymore.

  4. Couldn't we wait till the end of the season? I can't see his value dropping massively, more than likely it'd get higher.

Good times for the guy himself though, couldn't have worked out much better given the circumstances. Playing in a good league, for a great Champions League club, with a manager who knows what he can do. Given his choices were stay with us or play for decent but not spectacular French clubs for much of the window, I'd say he's done alright for himself.

He could get injured - ACL etc...

  5. Sounds like we've agreed a £4m fee from Roma.

    Madness

That'll be on top of the loan fee, so we wont have lost too much.

I thought the option to buy was included in the initial loan, so dont think we have done anything recently.

  6. Notts County sacked him after losing 9 games in a row then Blackpool sacked him having lost 9 games in 10.Inter and Monaco showed an interest in signing his son last summer.Newspapers reported that he had travelled to both clubs to see what offers,if any, were on the Ince table. With guidence from from his father, Tom ended up at Hull, where his has played in only half their Premier League games this season.

I didn't realise he went to Notts County.

Yeah hocking his son around while still being his manager at Blackpool was a bit mental, but the plight they are in now suggests he may have had to put up with quite a lot of shite behind the scenes.

I still think of him when anyone talks about the next up and coming manager, as I have friends living in both MK and Blackburn.

  7. As has previously been speculated on, I would be shocked it Ashley hasn't inserted certain break clauses into Pardew's contract. However, these would most likely only be exercisable at certain periods during the year e.g. after 10/19 games/at the end of the season etc. It could be that Ashley is waiting until one of these milestones is reached in the knowledge that Pardew will not have met the agreed target at that point and so saving the club from a big payout.

Well a boy can dream anyway.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Keegan had a clause limiting the payout to 2.5m.

They may have changed the amount, but there's no way he'd remove it. As anything geared around performance wouldn't limit the liability.

My money would be on Ashley doing a find / replace.

The delay can only be down to the farce we had that left us with Kinnear (twice).

  8. Looks like he still has the gambling instinct having bet up to £43m on the price of Tesco shares. Not something I'd be too keen on doing at the moment.

    Not a gamble really.

They falsified sales and took a 1.2bn hit on the failed us venture.

So buying shares in a low risk main stay UK company at half the price of the annual peak is a very good financial move.

  9. The rumours were that Pardew was lined up for weeks while the club picked a suitable moment to sack Hughton. Which is another reason not to feel sorry for him. The reason I believe the rumours is because they were circulating weeks before he got the job.

I'm pretty sure someone posted in here in September, nearly a month before it happened.

I know Keegan let slip he was interviewed and accepted the Man City job the day before Joe Royle was sacked, so it may just be part of the business. We had some mixed results, so Ashley may have made the decision and was just snookered for timing.

  10. That's the Android experience right there. Find out from someone months after owning the device. :icon_lol:

Hardly any Android owners know about the tracking, locking and wiping feature built into location services. It's a pretty cool feature, but pointless when almost no one knows about the website, so it's just draining their battery for nothing!

Someone did show me how to look at your entire GPS history on Google Maps, but can't remember where it was.

  11.

Don't go dragging my name into your argument then saying that.

Blackberry gets a lot if stick, but for business use they are light years ahead.

Anyone who receive 300+ emails a day simply can't make do with basic in-out email management. The hub rules and reminder email integration are impressive.

Also, the virtual sim they are working on to allow two active sims in one device will be a game changer imo. A lot of people that get them through work will ditch their personal phone.

  12. Nonsense.

    Which part?

We can rehash the ram debate if you like. As Andrew suggested the OS is massively different, mainly Apple compile apps on install whereas Android do it on execution. Which is why there is a lag on Android starting apps and no amount of ram will change that. The only way around it is for the app designer to run a service constantly, which as you'd know eats up all the extra resources.

    Fwiw, I'm a blackberry user.

  13. Maybe I'm just used to apple.

Obviously as with most products it's perception and the iPhone and system just feels quality. (I understand other products may have better specs).

I like the simplicity of iTunes for syncing and just found some of the android features not as familiar or easy to use.

The fact that I'm loving using an old slow iPhone 4 tells me I'm making the right choice, for me.

Don't feel like you have to justify your choice.

Android is a mess of an OS. It can do everything, but you have faff to get it to do it. "there's an app that can do it" are things people often people say to questions on Android features.

There are a lot of people who just want the best experience out of the box.

I'd put the BlackBerry z30 ahead of any Android device. Especially now they have the full play store access via snap.
