  1. I seen between 6-0 and 8-0 (about 5 mins) and in that time Tahiti whipped in 2 low awkward crosses which Reina had to get down and challenge the striker then Spain went up the other end and scored. Got to admire them for giving it ago.

  2. I played sunday league football and rugby last season and the way people speak to refs in football is an absolute disgrace. I wouldn't speak to people I'd fallen out with in a bar like that, let alone someone who gave up their time on a Sunday for a tenna to ref my pointless game

Is this common in rugby? As far as I understand it the IRB have simply decided that the referee did not take strong enough action and have handed down a stronger punishment yet we don't see an uproar about re-refereeing or undermining the referee's authority. So if they can do it in rugby, why not in football?

To be fair to the ref he said at the time it would have been a red card had it not been for the occasion (a friendly.)

  4. There are some horror stories and I agree that the industry should be more closely regulated.

However, the vast majority of customers are using the loans for short term finance and repay in full shortly afterwards.

Don't be fooled by the APR quoted. They, like any other lender, are legally obliged to state the interest in annual terms. Regardless of the fact that the vast majority of the "interest" is a loan arrangement fee, it legally has to be stated as part of the annual interest.

The loan is unsecured and as such will always have high interest rates to compensate the lender for the high level of risk they take on.

Horror stories aside, which hopefully will become a thing of the past, I think its better that these companies exist, if only to provide a legitimate short term facility and discourage punters from going to their local loan shark hanging around in the pub.

They're not something I would hope to ever need to use mind.

Just out of curiosity. How often do these companies end up on the losing side?
