Again, Milner was wanting to leave.
I'm not trying to stick up for Ashley, 'cause I do believe he could/will fuck us over again ... just that I think these players leaving were different circumstances from those of AC.
Neither Milner or Given wanted to leave until they discovered they'd been offered to clubs.

In my 3rd season with Newcastle. Won the FA Cup 2 seasons in a row. The first was so easy, biggest club I played was Sunderland at home, played Wolves in the final. 2nd was pretty easy aswell, but beat Liverpool in the final.

Perch was predictably shit. I've never played full back in my life, was always a forward when I had pace then a sweeper so I don't know how to play full back, but I know you shouldn't give pacey players ten yards every time they get the ball. Literally every time Lennon got the ball Perch backed off 10 yards, like every single time and it was a matter of time before we were punished. Basic fuckin things. I don't want to slag Perch off cos everyone has a go at him, but how can you call yoursel a defender when you defend like that.
He done the exact same thing against Walcott in the LC. I know he was playing centrehalf and not full back that night, but as soon as someone with pace runs at him, he's completely fucked, it's like he has no idea what to do.

I think the report is true about selling Barton but not to trim wages or for funds. I have a sneaky feeling that he doesn't want to be here anymore after Hughton's sacking. Every other player thats had rumours going around have stood up and reinforced the fact they want to stay at NUFC. But Barton didn't and I think he's not happy at the club anymore.
So everytime some journalist makes up some shite story about a player being linked with another club, you expect that player to come out and say that it's bullshit?
Sorry, not going to happen.
