  1. Yeah, I would say that individually they don't warrant a start ahead of ben arfa, but with Ba because of what they bring to the table when playing with him they do deserve a start. Ba looks as though he feels like he doesn't need to drop back as much when he plays with one of the two, which in turn leaves him in more advanced positions. Once again, just a training ground issue with the runs, something that needs to be ironed out by Pardew. They both bring an aerial threat in both attack and defence which ben arfa does not as well. Which is much more vital with Taylor out. I think Arfa needs to stop being idolised as a player who's going to tear apart a team when he comes on. It's not always going to be that simple. It's very simple for teams to take him out of the game, which we saw vs Chelsea with Romeou dropping in between the defence and midfield to track him which pretty much took him out of the game. I think he's a special player, but he's talked about like he's the worlds best by some.
  2. Also agree. On both points, Ben arfa, whilst he can play as a winger, and did before he came to us at times, plays much better in the hole between the midfield and attack, which doesn't work with a traditional 442. However, Ba plays much better, or seems to when he plays with Best or Shola- ie a more physical striking partner. The only way I can see Arfa slotting in is if Pardew changes the formations that he seems set on retaining. We need wingers who can deliver a good ball consistently as well, something neither Jonas or Obertan seem to be able to do and that Arfa can do. Very much a wait and see to find out how it'll all fit together.
  3. my friend For Hatem, the problem is simple I think physically he's not 100% ready, but technically in the workforce for me y'aucun worries he is undoubtedly the best in late December early January it will be at the top . I agree with him not being 100% fit yet, though with the recovery time he's had, you'd expect him to be there. Even in the games he played in he looked a little bit timid when he was near the ball, looked like he was just starting to get into his stride when all of a sudden he's been benched. Hopefully Pardew will give him another run of games to prove himself, hasn't been fantastic this season.
  4. Hi I understand against Chelsea, it was not great, but yesterday against the blues by Ba was good? person for me the whole team went through Against Norwich also Denba answer this and the others are at a complete standstill and especially far from the level expected Pardew set of physical impact, hoping thwart the opponent, playing a touch football is not listed as a tactical plan, how do you explain the brothers returned from Ameobi has to be present were virtually harmless digitally on terms of the game and I will speak of the other players (the extra terrestrial Obertan, Jonas playing second rear left and Best was the ghost of the team, for the latter it is good ok in the dry but the ball it hurts the eyes and especially technically it is scary to see.) Yesterday a player like HBA could have destabilized the defense of Swensea no worries, we have not faced the non Barca do not you think? ¨ ¨ I love this new lad already I agree with what you are saying! Pardew throws in alot of physical average players hoping to wear swansea down whereas we could have just used a french scalpel and made a few quick incisions Understand that perfectly now. Cheers
  5. Sorry mate, have you thrown this through google translate? Can't make heads or tails of some of that... Not everyone on here is from england and does not have english as a native language, including myself. I understood perfectly well what he said even though you can tell he is not making meat pies at home on a regular basis ( like christmas tree) If this forum is intended for english people only - we are sorry for invading your forums Norwegian by birth, Geordie by the grace of god! Calm yourself mate . So long as I can comprehend what you're saying I've got no problem with it. Nobodies perfect
  6. Sorry mate, have you thrown this through google translate? Can't make heads or tails of some of that... You do not understand what I write? Not really. What do the chinese wall, trimmings legs and denbies have to do with anything?
  7. Sorry mate, have you thrown this through google translate? Can't make heads or tails of some of that...
  8. He didn't do anything. He won a fair few headers and cut a couple of important through balls. Credit where its due. Aye, perch didn't put a foot wrong. Distributed the ball well, put in a few good tackles too. Can hardly say he did nowt.
  9. Re Cabaye's set-pieces: was a mix of them being poor and them being well defended. I thought his passing game was fine today. I still can't quite believe we didn't win that. We had 17 shots to their 2, 9 corners to their 1, and 60% of possession. Oh aye, his passing was excellent as per usual, I just thought that as well as the swansea defenders winning it in the air a lot, that the majority of balls that Cabaye put in were in bad positions, well away from our main threats in the box. He was dropping his free kicks deeper than the far post time after time, which is where we usually have S.Taylor putting them back across the goal. Just something that needs working on at the training ground.
  10. Other than some questionable subs and an unlucky frustrating result, quite a few positives, Ba looked excellent not so much in the second half, but was dangerous whenever he got the ball. Team looked much much stronger and more comfortable on the ball with both colo and tiote back. Colo made perch look good too, he put in some good tackles, didn't really put a foot wrong all game. Santon completely owned that left flank, good in the air, just looked all rund solid and dangerous. Best combines with Ba much better than Shola does in my opinion. On the other hand, Cabaye's deliveries from set pieces were generally woeful, really poor deliveries, and now he's out on wednesday. We have a major problem on both wings though, neither Jonas or Obertan have any end product, both one in the same really, jonas just releases the ball quicker. Ba had no support when he was getting ball's into the box. Overall just very very frustrating.
  11. Thats that. Incredibly frustrating we didn't get 3 points there.
  12. vukic and sammy to come on. Wonder whats happening with ben arfa?
  13. Excellent half, krul hasn't had to make a save. Obertans looking much better than usual, though his delivery is still lacking a bit. Ba's looking excellent as per usual, only a matter of time before we get something I reckon. Santon's looking very good as well.
  14. Ba's fucking class. makes something out of nothing again. We're banging on the door, something's gotta give.
  15. Aye, due back at some point in january. PSV said no go with a deal though- will refuse to sell him.
  16. A player shouldn't need to have a team built around him. A player like carroll needs it, he thrives on those balls that barton was putting in and the knock downs from nolan. Liverfools side isn't built around him and thats why he's doing shite down there. They play on the ground, they've brought in suarez and bellamy both players who want the ball played down to their feet, and he wants it up in the air. However, throw him in at stoke and he'd be top. He doesn't need a side built around him. He just needs one that are gonna pump balls into the box rather than give it to him 30 yards out and expect him to beat 3+ players and then play off a cheeky pass. tl;dr No.
  17. Only FIFA knows. Taiwo's a 79 and has top free kick stats. Sign him up pards! Shits on kadars 65 rating. I don't see why we haven't already signed him already.
  18. Ah, so the good old fashioned Sam Allardyce approach? Where the main goal is to get it up to the big lads asap. Aye, I see what you mean. We need Andy back, this nice football is nothing compared to smashing it up to the front. That was class to watch.
  19. Why would you say that mate? You honestly expect us to not bring anyone in in january?
  20. PSV said Pieters isn't going anywhere. I think he's injured and expected back near the end of january or the start of February as well. and aye, I can't see us getting a LB, I'd hope that CB is more of a priority area tbh.
  21. Have a few fair tabloids saying it, which do of course have no reliability either, but it's the same as all transfer rumours isn't it? Until something comes out from either the player or two clubs theres nothing that's all that concrete. The mails the only decent one i could find on short notice but the rumours been floating around for a few weeks. http://www.dailymail...ik-Pieters.html But that's what they do. They put 2 and 2 together as it were, and come out with something like this: "Newcastle need a left-back. Taiwo is getting frustrated with a lack of games. So let's make up a story linking the two together. You never know, it might pay off and actually happen despite our no doubt complete lack of evidence/quotes to support such an idea". It's just cheap and easy journalism that people will buy into because they like the idea and it's something to talk about. That 'Sportsmail Reporter' is one of the worst, constant rumours every day. No better in my opinion than those services Sky and the BBC run where you can text in transfer rumours during windows. Ever wondered why the journo is anonymous? Yeah mate, I know what you're saying, that's what I was getting at in my first line. Most rumours are going to fabricated by journos but you'd hope that there'd be a couple that have a grain of truth. Not that I'm saying the Taiwo one is by any stretch of the imagination. I expect that if we do get someone in we won't hear about it until it happens, were there any of our transfers in the summer that happened that were rumoured by journos before they were actually announced?

  23. Aye. he;s played in 4 of their champions league games and the other two in the league. Odds on you've gotten to see all of his appearances. But yeah, that'd be unbelievable. Him coming wouldn't be out of the question either, both he and his agent have came out saying that they're not happy that he's not starting week in week out or to that effect. We could offer 1st team football and I couldn't see the fee or his wages being completely out of the ballpark either. Fits right in with the age policy too, 26. Though what with pardew said tonight about bringing in one player which'll most likely be Maiga and then a defensive player, I think I'd still rather have another cb than a lb. Can only hope for both really.
  24. Eh? He's only played in 6 games all season for them.
