  1. Build quality is important to me too and I agree about Samsung. But I personally think the top end HTCs match Apple. Sony's top end phones are canny too, you can drop them in the bath and they keep working.

Those HTCs are built very well. I thought Nokia used to be good with build quality too but with the recent ones I've heard nothing but bad stories
  2. Why? Will it affect whichever model you do buy?

It just reeks of desperate 'lets dilute the quality of the product, make things out of plastic and hope for small gains' that those awful men at Samsung love. There's no point not just keeping the 5 since the 5c is almost a carbon copy of it, just 'plastic and colourful'. Eurgh.
  3. Getting next gen because its the only option on it. Zero interest in ultimate team but is there any news on what the career modes gonna be like? Also heard the Skrill Premier is rumoured for it, which would be awesome.

After the above World Cup qualifying wasn't called off(played in Denver), Costa Rica threw a bit of a tantrum(the US won).

The away game is now up and the Costa Ricans are rolling out the red carpet...

They've started by refusing priority immigration and they've had to queue up with the public. The home fans are aware of this and are at the airport giving abuse to the team.

The USA FA had also been in touch looking for a suggested training base for the stay in Costa Rica. Their FA provided 3. All 3 refused.

The Costa Rican FA also failed to provide the customary match footballs for training.

Local taxi drivers have also decided to purposely slow traffic for the USA's route to the stadium.

USA have never won there either. Should be a good atmosphere!

    More here

God I hope Costa Rica get thrashed just for the petulance of it
  5. Which do you see as a bigger success, winning the 1982 World Cup (after topping THAT group in the second round), or winning 2 European Cups in a row with Milan.

Just noticed he was a reserve in 82 , never mind then.

  6. Ya know CT, this forum is impressively diverse. We have people like Gemmill who is completely disgusted with modern football, we have young uns who know their football, Ant, Tom, Tooj etc, who can tell you the idiosyncrasies of a trequartista and why Pescara got relegated, we even have the older ones you pine for (who shall remain unnamed out of respect for my elders ;).)there's OOCs and Super Geordies. Despite this, this place plays out like any social occasion where people talk football (just with google to provide facts.) People argue, have discussions and show passion, knowing that they all want the same for the club, even if they want to get it in different ways. This is what football fandom has always been about. Wanting the best for your team doesn't mean frothing at the mouth 24/7, but are you seriously telling me that before I was born people watched on Saturday and forgot about it all until the following fortnight. We're on a football forum, we talk about it whilst also living our normal lives. You're the anomaly here btw, I can't imagine you watching the sport before modern football, I may have been born in '93, but I would love the sport I grew up playing and watching just the same. Tbh, since modern football has brought more 'United' fans from Rickmansworth who watch a game on telly every season and bought an 01/02 shirt for a fiver the season after, surely you could argue people care less, there are more fans in general but probably the same amount of hardcore supporters. I guess you've just never spoken to many other fans before.

Still waiting to see how watching more football means you know less about the game in general btw :)
