1. started off 10years ago playing nirvana, green day, pearl jam, soundgarden etc. Then got a bit mellow and went for blind melon, temple of the dog etc. Then got a bit punky ska into less than jake, millencolin etc. now a bit more emo, fall out boy, story of the year, motion city soundtrack etc. Also done a bit of old school thanks to my dads records, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc. what about you? 92078 Yeah a bit of everything too. I'm not really a shredder though, that's a kind of playing I've never been able to do....there's only few players I like who can play really fast, Gary Moore being one. It sounds like you know your stuff, do you play in a band or record or anything?
2. Good idea...I'll let you know when I post something. Might be next week though as I've got a fair bit of work until Monday.
3. I agree, I don't have to buy them, I just like guitars...I am the Imelda Marcos of the guitar world
4. Thanks TR, I've had "an offer" from Alreetlike so we'll see.
5. Vintage guitars are getting a really good reputation from what I've heard...really well made for the money. Nice axe
6. A bit, yeah. Not very well, but it's always preferable to college work. Unfortunately I've mostly been listening to stuff like Satriani, Malmsteen, Dream Theater, Vai lately and can't play anything remotely like that. 91999 Me neither! I like the guy in the Chili Peppers (John Frusciante) more melodic and lets face it easier to play!
7. Sorry, wasn't watching today's show... How much did he win? 91862 She dealt at 54,000, she got rid of all the blues apart from 1 with the biggest 8 numbers left on the board was canny impressive like. Then she dealt too early with the next offer being about 90k, why do they do it eh 91894 They get randy for that big blow out in DFS
8. It's rumours from last time, which were bollocks then too. 91928 PHEW!
9. Yeah it's a special. Got it just before Christmas - kind of a "omg I must buy a new guitar" thing which I stuck on credit card and only just finished paying off.. Worth every penny though, plays like an absolute dream even with my complete lack of talent. Totally awesome. 91987 That's what credit cards are there for! So you play a bit eh?
10. Hey this is the internet! I'm hung like a donkey with a huge cock and I'm always using it!
11. Good point, I feel like Cliff Richard at the moment! I've obviously not always been so clean living so there's a few stories....
12. I'll do it, I need the cash. I would say £750 is well worth it for that model.. Mine was £509.99 and worth every penny. 91981 Let's PM..... maybe we can work something out
13. I miss the footy but apart from that I try not to watch too much TV..although I do watch a lot of dvds...er...does that count...?
14. That's mean! Is that a special? Are you pleased with it?
15. Thanks , Looks cool, I didn't know you played...what stuff are you into?
16. I paid £750. The good thing with guitars like Gibson and Fender is that if you're ever stuck for money they do hold their value and if you're lucky can even go up. My other justification (to myself ) is that it's pretty much my only vice. I've given up smoking, I don't go to the pub/clubbing, don't have sky etc.....
17. You no like IKEA quality? Nice price tempt you no?
18. I'm about 2 months away from finishing my album, when that's done the first step will be to get it on cdbaby.com. They distribute music by unsigned acts and can help to generate a bit of interest for artists. As for TV music etc, I'm in the process of getting a website done...it's a bit of a drag cause I've got to do it cheaply for now, but my wife had the brainwave of contacting the local 6th form to see if anyone there's capable/interested in earning a few quick bob. I've made a couple of pages with Front Page although there's a couple of little tricks I want to see about. I'll let people know when either thing happens though, afterall I have some pride at stake here!
19. Thanks TR, *puts on trainspotter voice* Brian May actually built his guitar when he was a teenager with some help from his dad. He calls it the "red special". It's possibly the most valuable guitar in the world as it's what he used on most of Queen's classics as well as being unique in terms of a major artist building his own guitar.. Having said that, I think BM himself commisioned a luthier to make a couple of very accurate replicas for touring etc. You can buy a mass produced version which is pretty similar for around £500. *retains trainspotter voice anyway*
20. Nope, though it's a nice coincidence, I won't deny that. "Meenzer" is the local dialect-type-speak for a person from Mainz, which is where I used to live before shifting to Hamburg. I didn't fancy changing my nick to "Hamburger", so Meenzer I am, no matter how geographically inaccurate it may be... 91884 Right ho!
21. It's all worth it when she opens that door and hears the new jingle 91886 Do we get a preview ??? 91887 One of these days...I'm sorting out a website at the moment for that very purpose
22. post it on N-O! 91858 I'm not sure where TOTT get their facts from.....didn't they used to have a website too? (I'm sure it's all old news to you guys but I honestly don't know )
