Why hasnt that ref who let the Birmingham goal stand been sent down to the conferance?
Great point. Not one pundit has said, "well it happened against Newcastle on Wednesday so they deserve their bit of luck" or whatever.
-
Good post.
-
Definitely the real deal, even if he loses today. Nadal can't deal with him.
-
If we've got £9m to spunk on Curtis Davies, then we've got the money to get someone better than Curtis Davies. So why buy Curtis Davies?
Could have had Lauren £1.5m, Distin £2-3m, a good left-back £5m for that price, and still had Bramble as half-decent cover.
-
Special mention to the lad with the Scotland flag wearing a Newcastle
top in the crowd.
-
Am I the only one who got my hopes up here thinking this was going to be a thread about Gervais landing one on Johnny Vegas?
-
On BBC 2 now, one of the best sets of tennis I've ever seen there. Both players excellent. Murray won the first set 7-6.
-
Still think he's going to be another Bramble. Never saw anything from him last season that made me think we should definitely sign him. Would much sooner pay £3m or whatever for Distin and sign a couple of full-backs.
-
On the subject of Harewood, he's a player I wouldn't mind here now his price seems to be a bit more reasonable, £4 million would be a good deal for us.
He's fucking shit.
Agreed. Michael Ricketts II.

If Brum have to pay Arsenal a percentage of any fee, surely asking for a higher fee is less than sensible?
How's that like?
If they sell him for £4m, Arsenal get £1m, they'll get £3m.
If they sell him for £6m, Arsenal get £1.5m, they'll get £4.5m.

Well perhaps as major shareholders, the Hall's can actually do something and deflect a bit of the blame from Shepherd.
-
What exactly does Hall do now? He's the majority shareholder yet brings f*ck all to the table.
-
He's had his little Indian summer, a bit like Souness from January to March in 2005, but he'll soon be found wanting.
-
No doubt shown before on here but still class.
-
It's Tottenham though! Robinson should have been given a red-card automatically just for being a fat bastard.
-
Italian football in general is f*cking sh*t. You've got the big 3 of Inter, Milan (ok, poors season this year but they'll be back) & Juventus (once they're back), the rest of them are poor...much worse than the Premiership. The fact Rangers beat Livorno easily and our reserves beat Palermo is a good indication.
-
That'll be O'Connor back to Britain then. Probably someone like Watford will get him.
-
How is that not a red-card for Dawson?!
-
He's sh*t of Andy O'Brien 2004-5 season proportions...and worse than Boumsong 2005-6 season.
-
Good to see Mr Faye score his first ever Premiership goal.

Wonder who'll take a chance on him at 39! (Beppe Signori)

Remember Seedorf's goal from a million miles out for some Italian side or other. Unbelievable.
Real Madrid Italian like?
Famous quote from Andreas Möller when asked about moving to a club abroad. "Milan or Madrid, as long as it's Italy."
Very similar to...
"I just couldn't settle in Italy. It was like living in a different country" - Ian Rush
and
"I'd love to play for an Italian club one day, like Barcelona" - Mark Draper
-
Gossip section on Ceefax from the Star, "Roeder has been given permission to make a £6m bid for WBA's Curtis Davies".
-
With all this takeover talk out of the way now though, perhaps we'll actually spend a little bit money before the end of the month.
Murray v Nadal

Great comeback. Losing 5 games in a row, then going a break down, to comeback and break Nadal twice. Great play.
