good post and what you say makes sense but there surely must be more wriggle room to do something this January, even if it’s a couple of loans. We just need bodies at this stage to give us options off the bench or injuries are consign us to mid table when top 6 is still possible. Too many points are being thrown away because Howe is forced to play the same 11 for 80+ minutes every gameI am pretty sure the club is exploring all possibilities. But I found Howe’s remark about us not having a lot of friends in the market quite telling. I think that just quite a few clubs are actually relishing our difficulties. They won’t do us any favours unless we pay ridiculous prices. We still come with the tag of being the richest team owned by unsavoury people. It will probably take time for us to get treated like everyone else if ever.

When I see the reaction of some of our fans I really think a lot of them are just spoiled tossers who thought us getting taken over would be like playing football manager in sugar daddy mode.
We do have a lot of catching up to do on so many levels that it is inevitable that there will be set backs and disappointments. But to start moaning that we aren’t able to defend a lead against arguably the best team in the world managed by arguably the best manager in the world is borderline retarded. It would have been difficult with a squad in full strength but obviously a huge task after weeks of playing with a depleted squad.
Seriously some of our fans can fuck right off iyam

I actually didn’t watch most of the second half expecting this and having to look after my health. I thought that our only chance to get something out of the game needed us to two goals clear. It wasn’t meant to be unfortunately.

Indeed, as much as I don't like him they've got a fully fit £100m player in Grealish sitting unused on their bench. Sitting alongside an England international who we're desperate to get to plug one of our many holes.
Our bench was two keepers, five defenders, a 34 year old radgie and a 18 year old striker who would never have made the bench in normal circumstances.

That Bobb sounds like he came to the stadium on the sunshine bus.
He proved to be a blitzkrieg unfortunately.

It's Fulham in the cup next, isn't it?
Two weeks time. At least some time to recharge energy and do some work. We really do need players to come back who are actually capable of making a difference.

Really, what do people expect? It was a decent effort and we did far better than you could expect. It looked like they were giving us a hammering in the first 25 minutes.
I am disappointed obviously but can’t fault the effort.

It shows how much money you do have to spend over quite some time to bridge the gap.

Shame. We did better than expected though. Lack of a squad able to compete at the top is costing us.

I can understand why he's not making subs tbf. It's a fragile ecosystem out there.
Exactly. Which of the players could really make a positive difference?

They are still getting too many soft decisions. Isak barely touching Dias in comparison to the rugby tackle on Gordon the best example.
We need another one. It will be a really tough second half.

These are absolutely on one today. We needed them to have an off day and us to get lucky. FYI, that's not what's happening.
We should have taken our chance when their keeper was injured. They are all over us, literally as well conceded the tackle on Gordon

Fuck off. Coming after an obvious foul.

Villa have Chelsea in the cup, which hopefully will be tough for them as well.
actually do fancy us getting something out of the game against Villa. They are obviously doing very well and still full of confidence. They probably do want to punish us for getting twatted at the start of the season. But I think we will be in a much better state in two weeks time unless more players suffer injuries. We will probably be up for this game being underdogs too. In contrast to other games there won’t be the burden of being favourites.
