And put the player through a few months of trouble for nothing (unless he did say the stuff in which case he deserved the hassle!) It was basically some players saying he said stuff and him saying he didn't with nobody neutral/not involved like the ref or linesman to verify, therfore there was never going to be enough evidence to prove he said anything. Or isn't it? Not proven is a Scottish thing isn't it? Storm in a teacup tbh. Nothing compared to what goes on in Spain and Italy.
