Eh? He's identifying players which aren't good enough, and is going to get rid of them.

Stop moaning for fucks sake.

He's talking shite more like.

"Battlers rather than bottlers", could he get any more cliched? He'll be sick as a parrot next. The biggest failure in the squad is Roeder, end of story.

FYI, Roeder didn't actually say that.

FEveryoneelse'sI, he was actually answering a question put to him by a fan; he didn't just phone the paper and say 'here, stick these quotes in.'

Actually, that's fair enough, I'd seen that quote in this particular headline and in other articles and made the mistake he had said it himself, but it appears to be a journalist soundbite.

The points about him being the biggest bottler at AZ and him becoming more Souness-like in his bleatings still remain though. And the fact that our season has fizzled out and we will almost certainly not attain Europe will remain as much as a fact as Roeder's previous relegations. Something you appear to be oblivious to!

At the end of the day, when results have been this disappointing, it will be almost impossible for Roeder to say the "right" thing, simply because most of us just don't believe or trust him. He's cried wolf too many times already about signings around the corner. In these circumstances, it would be prudent to let his management do the talking, and if he can't, he should resign, before he drags us down further.

More pointless soundbites from Roeder. This guy's getting as bad as Souness.

All that is missing now is a reference to good old Lady Luck...

....I think GR thinks he's being clever with all these litlle press snippets...Muppet.

Well this summer is the last chance saloon one way or another really.

Last summer wasn't great, but barring not going for Campbell maybe he didn't do anything that wrong (without the benefit of hindsight at the time anyway).

Christmas.... well signings would have helped without a doubt (even without the injury situation), but on the other hand paying through the nose for more shite wouldn't have been a good move either.

I'm not sure that any manager would have had a great season with this squad and all the injuries, but it is likely some could have done somewhat better.

But if a lot of things don't get sorted this summer then his time is undoubtedly limited (although I'm pretty certain that all the thing wrong with this club wouldn't be sorted if Roeder goes, even if he IS the worst manager football has ever seen).

As for handling the football media I guess it's not without reason that people like Ferguson have regularly just sometimes decided to tell them to fuck off, it's must be like fishing for great whites by dipping your genitals in tuna then dangling them in the water.

If you remember Shearer he handled them "well" by being as boring as fuck in all interviews and basically rarely saying anything much at all (which is sensible and not too hard for a player, but pretty hard for a manager to get away with).

If they do end up getting rid though the need some "planning" into who exactly is going to come instead as well as stuff like the current (lack of) scouting network etc.
