The £5.6million buy is loved on Wearside - because his arrival behind Kevin Keegan's back triggered the manager's departure and a season of turmoil. He also missed a sitter from seven yards as Toon crashed out of the FA Cup. The readytogo.net fanzine site urged Black Cats fans to get behind Xisco, and it has worked. Last night he had 35 per cent of the 3,500 votes, way ahead of next-best Shay Given, on the club's official website. Next week's vote - Joe Kinnear for manager of the season! Normally Id be saying lets all go and vote the opposite but frankly this time I reckon we should join in as well, lets get everyone to go and do the same.
