  1. That’s pretty much entirely untrue.

  2. Fair play to the Don, getting the club to fund the purchase with the parachute payment and selling for a big profit a year later is good business. The fact that he’s a MLF is just a lucky coincidence.

  5. Unbelievable audacity from Trump to reveal his true intentions so clearly. Not that we should be too worried

  9. it's like buying a house. BZG and the club have agreed a price. Either side can pull out but to suggest BZG haven't "made a bid" is taking being cautious to a ridiculous extreme and throwing common sense out of the window. Of course they've made a bid. It doesn't mean the club is sold by any stretch of the imagination. But if it falls through it's not because of them not being serious or not having the funds. It'll be because Ashley isn't selling and is using the BZG bid to stall for time and manipulate the situation enough so that Rafa walks away. 12 years in and people still appear to be giving Ashley the benefit of the doubt despite being in full possession of the facts about him.

  10. I would agree with PL that the agreement of a price is an agreement in principle to buy the club/ a “bid”. They’re not just going to rock up and go “yep we agree the club is worth £350m, ok well good bye”. Their statement also said “We have agreed terms and are working hard to complete the transaction at the earliest opportunity”.

  11. If they've agreed a price would that not indicate that is actually "their bid"?

  12. Funds provided, price agreed but they've not said they've put in a bid for the club. Until that happens I'm reluctant to take this seriously

  13. Not arguing with why people have doubts, but there's a frankly amazing number of people who think that just because you're a billionaire, you shouldn't have a care in the world about dropping £25m just to start a conversation about a sale...

  16. I think the interest and offer from BZG are genuine. Ashley is unlikely to sell to anyone though. He’s the piss taker, not the Arabs or the media.
