Thanks for the memories. Saturday was my first experience in St. James Park. I came from Madrid to your city just for the match. It was the momment I have been waiting for more than 10 years. I spoke with a lot of people in the city, in the stadium and everyone helped me, asked me why was a crazy Atletico de Madrid born fan than loves Newcastle. Love you guys. I can't explain why, but I started to cry when the match started. Appreciate what you have and you can enjoy every 15 days. You are very very very special. See you in the future, I know.15 points

Exactly. As I’ve said previously it’s not about giving Bruce a chance (or not) it’s about not giving the owner yet another chance4 points

He didn't honour anything at Sheff Weds Or Hull Or Palace Mike Ashley has been an abomination for 12 years but wanting to appear fair minded about him and his latest appointment is the road we should be going down. That's what I call fuckin silly tbh4 points

On secondment and to answer Rayvin’s question, (it’s data analysis anyway from my POV) but he should know that, in government, you don’t need a strategy to have a strategy team2 points

Saw this tweet in reference to them linking themselves to Scott Sinclair: Deluded League One tramps.2 points

Maybe. On the other hand they could have been more sensible and appoint someone more decent and especially not likely to further alienate fans... or they could have matched the ambition of the old manager and cared about the club and its fans... But that would have been as likely as you not posting nonsense tbh.1 point

As Rayvin said earlier Corbyn would be fuckin mad to go for that. So I fully expect a GE on 14th October...1 point

He should have done if he was as passionate about his boyhood club he always supported as he keeps saying. It would have been more appropriate than to imply fans to be fickle imbeciles who will be happy after just a couple of positive results.1 point

Glad you felt the emotion, it's a shame it wasnt in greater times1 point

Can we all just support Athletico in all? Joking aside, I’m really pleased you got that experience mate. As zerosum said I wish it was during better times at the club, but glad you had a good trip regardless of that. As for on the pitch echo what many have said about Joelinton and Almiron. It looked like for Atlanta Almiron played through the middle at times, jumping on the flick ons from the forward or even running in advance of him onto through balls. It would be worth trying at home against some of the weaker sides.1 point

I’d say most players will prefer the manager who can improve them and the team. Unless you’re dealing with the likes of player he had at Sunderland where they were happy to pick up their wages at the end of the month and take the piss without consequence.1 point

Wish you could have experienced it in better times, but glad you got there1 point

Bollocks. Ashley hasn't changed one jot between Rafa taking the job and leaving the job. He knew exactly what he was getting into, as did Pardew and as does Bruce. Calling Bruce a "fucking disgusting cunt" for taking the job is just proving the likes of Carragher spot on in their observations. We've got 40 year old blokes in here who are incapable of having a rational conversation about the club anymore. Rafa could do no wrong, Bruce can do no right. Everything is an extreme, all or nothing. This place has gone right down the shitter in the last 6 months. It's not an Nufc fan forum anymore, it's a handful of the same posters slagging off any fans who go to the match, hold on to any semblance of positivity, enjoy wins etc. It's no surprise some of the better posters don't bother as much these days on here. There's not a poster in here who doesn't dislike Ashley for he's done to the club , or who thinks Bruce is an upgrade on Rafa. But the grown blokes getting their knickers in a twist because the whole fan base isn't falling in line with them really need to turn the internet off once in a while1 point

It's not the same situation. Rafa took the job because of the potential of the club. He negotiated himself a decent contract, fought to get his full backroom staff in, was given assurances over the development of the training ground and academy and made sure he got the title of manager. Bruce got the job because the club were sure he'd accept the limited role of head coach and wouldn't rock the boat.1 point

I read this post through and thought "fucking hell, that's perhaps the most intelligent thing essembee has ever posted" and then did a double take. I agree with you. It was unsettling for a moment though.1 point

I think he’s being a bit overly generous to Bruce. Describing his resignation at Hull as an act of integrity while neglecting to mention that shortly before he had interviewed for the England job without informing the club. He also ignores the reasons for Rafa’s leaving, instead stating that he left for a big money deal in China. Overall though, nothing to get annoyed about.1 point

It wasn't even an implication, it was fairly explicit.1 point
