  1. Bruce will be loving getting the better of the massively praised Wilder. I imagine he’ll be having his shite facing the back of the bog tonight so he can open a few bags of crisps onto the lid and have a right feast.

  2. I've heard loads this season about Sheffield United playing with overlapping centre backs and what have you. I didn't realise they played without a goalkeeper as well.

  7. He has limited options to be fair. The system was working and needed fresh legs.

  8. We’re riding our luck massively, Dubravka is keeping us afloat in games but he should get some credit for realising that Rafa is a better manager and decided to revert to his system after an embarrassing attempt at whatever he was trying to do pre-Leicester.

  9. They are seething. VAR has ruined the game etc. Good job they will never be involved in a game where VAR is used.

  13. Class. Fucking brilliant example of playing to the whistle. Ridiculous from the Sheff Utd lot.

  15. Was that seriously a wind up attempt? It’s not even a discussion between who the better player is ffs. Also, I know the computers at the pennywell community library run on coin slots with a timer but he could have at least found his way onto the right part of the forum.

  19. First thing that has to be said is great effort from almost everyone, and some credit to Bruce for quickly realising that the lads were more comfortable in the set up and tactics Rafa was using. Fortunately that set up pretty much nullified Sheff Utd's big strengths as a team. Secondly as much as Almiron frustrates me he at least brings effort, great defensive cover and work, and he carries the ball with pace up the pitch. Joelinton on the other hand, apart from that bright moment against Spurs and a decent assist against the 'ammers has been absolute shite. I could understand if he wasn't really suited to or used to being a target man given he hadn't played centrally for most of his career, but he can't even run defences without tripping over his feet. Perhaps he's just devoid of confidence but I don't see any signs of how or if he'll turn this around. I wouldn't be surprised if the rumour about his actual fee being 20m down and then 18m extra if we win a European competition, which of course is a joke proposition under Ashley, is true. 20m is still far too much on current evidence.

  24. Thought it was harsh for him to lose his spot after pre-season and the Arsenal game. Probably our best crosser from wide too. Which, admittedly, says more about the current crop.

  28. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/dec/04/bbc-impartiality-precious-protect-election-coverage BBC trying to defend itself. I don’t necessarily subscribe to the view that if we get complaints from both sides, we are doing something right – though we do receive roughly equal volumes of audience feedback suggesting we favour opposite sides of the political spectrum. And to those who have suggested we are somehow cowed or unconfident, let me assure you – we are not. Will believe that last statement when we see it. EDIT - also, what the fuck is the one before it. "I don't necessarily believe this but y'know, if you wanted to justify our bullshit and had no critical thinking skills, you could do so like this..." Fuck off.
