There wasn’t a fucking hint of compromise when it came to Brexit. Now we’re all supposed to shut the fuck up and not ‘politicise’ this because of inconvenient truths like governmental incompetence leading to one of the worst death rates in the world even though we had more warning than many countries. This government and the stupid drones who continue to support it can fuck off and die6 points

I think I would put it this way anyway, in answer to that point about nationalisation - either the Tories have been lying for a decade about the money available and how "it would be nice to make things better but we can't afford it" and CT has been very aware of this, or he's going to have to accept that we have no alternative but to throw the elderly to the wolves because there's just no money to do anything about it. Same as the homeless before them, young people from disadvantaged backgrounds before them, domestic violence victims, mental health sufferers, the disabled, and anyone who happened to have a bad run of luck. They've been dying for a fucking decade, so why is now the time when we have money to be able to make a stand?6 points

I love his idea that if the PL accept the deal they won’t ever be able to fight piracy cases in court hairy little cunt has no knowledge whatsoever of law. The bit he’s missing is the PL win if they accept this deal, the Saudis have already shut down BeoutQ and it’s nailed on they’ll bid for the Middle Eastern rights when it goes up for bid in 2022, likely paying more than Bein paid. Of course he’s going to pretend that makes the PL the bad guys here because the awful cunts who pay him lose out to another bunch of awful cunts. He’s just a hairy little irrelevant idiot lashing out as his gravy train is going to be stopping once Bein lose the rights.5 points

The stupid twats with their Eton educations and Oxbridge PPE degrees didn't fucking understand what exponential meant. It's that simple. Cost us thousands of lives and probably trillions of pounds.5 points

They are being guided by the science, it's just that half of the cunts can't read a map and the other half don't want to listen to the guide. As for poor old CT, all he ever wanted to do was talk about his beloved Tory party and cuddly Mike but people kept bringing politics and two relegations up, I mean, isn't that what a forum's for?4 points

I think what CT is trying to say is that us lot are missing the mood of the country. We don’t want blame, we don’t want argument as if this were a General Election, we want a contribution to the national effort to get us out of this crisis. We want hope optimism and faith in our country. We need less negativity.4 points

I like your thinking CT, socialism through nationalisation, we could maybe call this National Socialism? Put the elderly in large prefabricated care warehouses, for their own protection. We will need to focus our minds on this problem, but at the same time we need to keep it fun, like a camping trip for Grandma. Perhaps call these new structures concentration camps?4 points

So is this the week we can finally say CT has given up this lurking lark and has reassumed his position as the board’s chief contrarian? We are the monkey on his back. The drug he can’t kick. That last slice of duck pizza he can’t resist even when his 32” belt is buckling and he knows he’s had enough.4 points

"It's not political" is a very convenient narrative for the government to push to try and deflect any blame. You'd have to be fucking thick to lap that up but here we are.4 points

None of it makes sense. If the Saudi government were able to get away with piracy before the takeover then how does stopping the takeover make a difference? It doesn’t and like you say it’s not even an issue now. Then there’s the idea Sports Direct are going to move into Saudi Arabia as part of the deal. It seems unlikely but how is that in some way worse than Ashley just taking their money. And what difference does it make? Then he says the premier league’s huge income is at stake, even though the piracy issue has been shut down, and the PL was making that money when the piracy issue was still happening. Then he fails to explain how the takeover in itself threatens to create more piracy when it’s been shown to do the opposite already. The he says the government shouldn’t be allowed protecting trade deals, especially arms deals, which is arguably a sound viewpoint but the reasoning behind that is a global pandemic arms can’t fight which he also seems to think precludes the possibility of future deals of any sort.3 points

Yeah my goodwill for this country and government is long fucking spent tbh. You don't fuck over half the country with transparent lies and political game playing and then get to turn around and expect solidarity with the regime responsible. Appreciate that others may be more forgiving than me, but I firmly believe forgiveness requires acceptance of fault - and that has been the farthest thing from forthcoming.3 points

It's not though. The point is we have the PM we have, and the government we have. What you or I think is irrelevant, but you put your faith in these people, not me. I'm not talking about past mistakes here, as grave as they are. Johnson has shown that he's incompetent by every policy decision he's made. Why would that change now? I mean look at the new fucking logo. Wht would you pursue a hard Brexit when you know it will just damage the country further? Etc. We're fucked with this government in charge. The importance of good governance has never been clearer, populism is unfolding as a disaster in front of our eyes, and we're powerless to stop it.3 points

Ahh, make sense how you landed at Level 4 there then! We might be announcing a move to level 2 this week, these announcements operate on two week cycles so its either that or two more weeks of level 3. We've managed several days of no new cases in the last week or two though, and we've only had 21 deaths. That the UK has never been as harsh and is relaxing quicker than us is just...I'd love to say "shocking" or something along those lines but honestly the first word that came to mind as I typed that sentence was "typical".2 points

That was as clear as fucking mud. If you cant work from home, you're encouraged to goto work. Then he said later that retail will open a bit later. Wait on, you've just said if you cant work from home, go back tomorrow. If he was PM 75 years ago we would be speaking fucking German.2 points

Christ this situation is so depressing. It's clear they are going to wind down furlough and if you've got school age kids you're basically fucked. Gonna be a lot of unemployed people very soon. The great British public can't even do a lockdown properly. Too many piss takers mean we'll never get R down enough to get out of this.2 points
