As some on BBC Sport pointed out. Liverpool have just opened an academy in China, where were his concerns about human rights then?4 points

Lads man. He's entitled to £8m. He's a fucking useless cunt but he's owed what he's owed and the new owners are absolutely minted. If your boss told you to just take 15 days holiday this year instead of your contractual entitlement of 25, you'd rightly tell him to fuck off. (Ant, I don't want to hear about how you never take holidays. Nobody likes the holiday martyr. )4 points

It's Ashley's fault, not Bruce's. He just wants what he's contractually entitled to from new owners who everyone says have a bottomless pit of cash.4 points

He was at half time too. Whinging on that Peacock's goal shouldn't have been allowed despite the fact that they had a camera angle showing it crossed the line. He nearly burst out crying with Dagleish pointed out that it wasn't worth complaining about since Ginola had raked the second past Schmeichel into the top corner. I've hated him since I sobered up from being at that match and watched recording.3 points

Fergus Craig? Your mate from your podcast? "Dave, do me a favour, about the new book, this massive Newcastle United forum you say you're in charge of.....you couldn't put a word in could you?" "Sure Fergus, wouldn't want you singing the blues! ....... singing the blues, get it? Deacon Blue? God I'm seriously wasted around here, last time I bring in the frozen grapes for Newcastle natter that's for sure."3 points

I don’t give a hot gay fuck. He’s wavered entitlement through gross incompetence. Emphasis on “gross”3 points

Klopp first manager to moan. Who would have thought. We had an issue with clubs building a Super League. Remind me which teams were involved in that. Cock.3 points

Absolutely superb podcast here. Interview with a guy called @duncancastles who is very well informed about what is going on now and what the actual plans are going forward. https://t.co/vnW9O1y7x73 points

No kneejerk decisions and an unexpectedly standoff attitude actually makes a lot of sense from the new owners. Honestly get the feeling they might just be keeping Bruce around just long enough to be sure exactly who else from heirarchy needs to go with him. Football aside, one thing I've learned about shit managers: the ones that somehow stay in jobs against all odds are usually held up by a string of allies on either side of the chain. Even if he's the source, Bruce could well have other allies still at the club who could continue the rot if they're not also removed.2 points

Martin Keown speaking on Talksport: What I’d like to do…if we look at the record of Steve Bruce [at Newcastle United]. “There has been a problem for a long time. “I looked at the period between December [2020] and April [2021] of last season, they managed two wins from seventeen matches. “They did unbelievably at the end of the season, they won five out of eight, but if you look at those teams, two of them were already down – Fulham, Sheffield United. “They played West Bromwich Albion, they got out of trouble at the end of last season. They haven’t won a game yet this season. “So whether or not there was a new consortium coming in or not, Steve Bruce was on borrowed time. “It has been toxic for too long. “The fans haven’t been behind the manager. “You could say it’s not the manager’s fault but actually he has played his part, because he hasn’t had a fantastic record there. “You could say he hasn’t had enough money to spend and you might say well look, rue the fact that he is not going to be given the wealth and support that the next manager is going to get. But it is the next chapter now and it is how they close that2 points

Let’s hope he uses some of it to fix the mould and damp on his multiple rented properties in Manchester, since he’ll have the time to get it done. The fucking cunt.2 points

I fail to see what you're arguing about then. Everyone is saying Bruce should be binned but no one is saying that we should also have a new manager in this week. It seems that you're agreeing with everyone else but doing it in an argumentative way.2 points
