Definition of phobia: "an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something." There is nothing extreme or irrational in my extreme wariness around and prejudice against these flying vermin.6 points

He tweeted about 5 mins before the official account announced it. Coincidence? I think not, shows the power the great man wields.4 points

What’s the problem? Just some regular, normal Tory Enforcement Officers getting on with the job of silencing some uppity riff-raff with too much time on his benefit-scrounging hands.4 points

The eligibility wasn't fair, though. I had this with someone on twitter. Somebody could have been to one game in their life after July 2019 and got a season ticket ahead of others who have decades of support. I said nobody should've had priority, decades of support, handful of games or none at all, it shouldn't have mattered. His argument was there would've been moaning if somebody hadn't been to a game and got one ahead of me but my argument is at least I'd have had the same chance of a ticket in my scenario rather than none at all!4 points

apparently there's a scandal erupting, something to do with when the official website was under maintenance shortly before the 10am opening...4 points

It’s class when they make up something that makes them excited, then figure out the downside to it/why it wouldn’t happen, and then get annoyed about it. They’re beyond parody now.4 points

Agree it’s probably time we walk away from the Ekitike deal. Shame as it seems he’s a talent but his agent was clearly causing issues. Hopefully we refuse to do business with that agent going forward and publicly walk away from the deal as I think it adds to this view building around how our lot conduct business.4 points

Is this the return of the fabled 30,000 on the waiting list? We should send a few professionals to check in on a few of the more furious members on RTG4 points

Genuinely couldn’t even guess who that player is. What a fucking non entity of a club they are.4 points

Plus I've had three hours kip after a 12 hour night shift so I'm a clear and present danger to every fucker crossing my path let alone any cunt chucking a barricade on that path.3 points

Does he only holler at young women like? Anyway, thin and wedge come to mind, it's now illegal to protest outside Parliament, or anywhere else afaik, at the police's discretion. Anything coming from Patel is pretty much guaranteed to be authoritarian and bad news.3 points

Kid's going to listen to his agent though. If someone, with sufficient confidence, tells a 20yr old kid he knows what he's doing and all that, he's going to believe it.3 points

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if it still happens. I'd put him through a pretty serious hazing on day 1 of training though. #neverforget3 points

Actually, since I moved I haven't had any issues with seagulls, despite being next to the sea now. Think the garden is too small for the fuckers to land in and there's a cage over the chimneys so they can't nest. They still target shit me though. My new nemesis though is carrion crows. Vile creatures, but brilliantly intelligent and utter psycopaths. I set up a bird feeder in the garden which has attracted a large community of birds (sparrows, blue tits, bull finches, golden finches, robins, black birds, wood pigeons) and some other wildlife (field mice and grey sqirrels). But these fuckers wait in ambush for them and kill them, for no reason I can tell other than fun. So I have to pick up the dead, still warm carcasses up and bin them. Three birds and two field mice so far.3 points

We need to get the Real Sociedad CB Robin Le Normand, so we can form a couple of CB called Botman y Robin.3 points

I really think that the only viable site, if you’re looking for somewhere within the “city limits”, is the Arena. A new stadium would have to be 80-100k capacity to be worth doing, and the space needed for that, parking, concession areas, only exists at the Arena or Castle Leazes. The Arena site is (marginally) better than Castle Leazes in all aspects, and isn’t yet surrounded by residential developments. I still think there’d be valid protests if we tried Castle Leazes. If they’re going to do it, they need to get the wheels in motion before some other fucker buys the land.2 points

It's not like the Met have anything better to do either. So, what happens if Bray is fined, comes back and does the same thing. Is he then arrested and imprisoned? For non-violent protest? I guess they'll have to find a barrister to take his case on first, although maybe as they're on strike we can just bypass that and send him straight to Pentonville.2 points

I'd agree with that HMHM. It seems madness to put some sort of eligibility in place, it should have been a straight lottery as far as I'm concerned.2 points

The kid will no doubt still be at Reims at the start of the season all thanks to his greedy cunt of an agent. We as a club need to walk completely away from this deal now on principle and if we don't, I'll be disappointed. Ekitike needs to realise his agent has screwed up any move, not just one that have bagged him a higher signing on fee. Fucking morons.2 points

Sort your links out @Alex Clearly a slow news day from the BBC. Football team decides to play in white & green, how dare they?! The absolute fucking irony that in a story focused entirely on the anecdotal link between the colours of our shirt and that of the nation who owns us they completely neglect to mention that our new sleeve sponsor is the Middle East's version of Amazon.2 points

It’s also just arguably the logical next step and larger in size than what come before. For absolutely donkeys years football has had wealthy people funding clubs with their own money (wasn’t the Blackburn Rovers side that won the title funded by a trust left by their owner?), Abramovic spent insane money on Chelsea, the Liverpool of the past spent loads taking everyone’s best and their modern day owners have fucking clearly been getting deals with brands they have ties to (New Balance, Standard Chartered, loads of American brands), same with Manchester United and their 40,000 partnered sponsors for everything. I agree it’s a bit sad for the game if you have some romantic view of the past, and think it had been massively competitive but it’s been heading for this type of thing for a long time the only major change is it’s a more definitive line in the sand from the haves to the haves not, and those have nots are beginning to include ones that have for a long time been those miles ahead of everyone. It’s not been as romantic as some people (and journalists) will act tbh. Look at clubs like us under Ashley, any time we had a player do well a rich side just plucked him away like Cabaye to go warm PSG’s bench, or Carroll to sit in the Liverpool physio room. These related party sponsors are just workarounds whereas in the past owners would just directly spend their own money. I’m glad it’s us getting this, but realistically for most football fans this changes fuck all as before the takeovers of us and Man City it’s not like they stood any realistic hope anyway is it?2 points
