I'm telling you right now, if we gave PSG anything for the signing of Moussa Diaby, they'd accept it and laugh all the way to the bank.9 points

I think Lascelles has bulked up too much and it’s impacted his mobility and how quickly he can turn etc. Especially as he didn’t need it. Playing under Bruce hasn’t helped like. I’ve got time for him because he’s shown some good form in the past, is still young and also due to the attitude / commitment Craig alludes to7 points

This is why you need a proper codified constitution. We’ve relied on people behaving in a reasonable manner and adherence to unwritten conventions. Those days are gone.6 points

I think some of the criticism levelled at Lascelles - not necessarily here but definitely in mainstream social media is harsh. And it's generally delivered by those who claim to never criticise on ability, only on effort. When things were utter shit back in 2016, he stood up when other more experienced around him did not. The match at Southampton sticks in my mind. Interesting to note Shelvey was in the side that day too but doesn't seem to come in for half the shit Lascelles does.6 points

Yep, but nobody banked on a fucking psychopath being given the keys to no.10. If anyone is unaware of Hare 's checklist for psychopathy, look it up. And then you'll realise Johnson meets every single criteria.5 points

Taken my GF and my mam to a house (villa?) in Limoge in France for a week. My mam especially needed a break after everything that’s gone on. I’ve only ever been to Paris before and this is a completely different world compared to that shit hole. Relaxing AF, food is good and cheap, wine is pennies. The people are even friendly.5 points

If they televise a fight to the death on PPV for these 2 groups it might go some way to paying off the national debt.5 points

Imagine being schooled by Stephen Crabb, the homophobic, god-bothering sex pest who had to resign as W&P Secretary Nadine’s nips are going to look like wilted baguettes by the end of tonight’s bitty session.5 points

Finally did this trip last weekend, at the fourth time of asking. Felt like a free hit given the travel and accommodation were paid for in early 2020, which isn't a bad thing considering the Dutch coast isn't the cheapest of places (especially now), but the cycling was good, the beaches are lush and the weather was spot on - plenty of direct sunshine but never got properly above 20 degrees, which suits me fine. Some decent sunsets too...5 points

Just finished watching, rewinding "Did he really say that?" the liason committee. Wow. A highlight at the end, that I hope gets picked up was a response to a criticism that there is a cultural problem with drink in HMG. I couldn't believe the stories in the Sue Gray report and to me (maybe I'm a minority?) the pandemic was actually irrelevant - this shouldn't have been happening in ANY workplace routinely, during working hours ANYWHERE in the UK. For Health and safety issues alone - people should not be getting drunk weekly to the level where they need help standing up. It's not the toon on a Friday night (which is still mint btw!). So, paraphrased "do you recognise that there are deep cultural problems in parliament" (also in context of the sexual abuse allegations) Boris' answer "I do realise that there is a problem <sic> some people cannot handle their drink" Fuck me.. what a response. Sorry, I don't know her name, but the lady who lost her shit saying he was trying to play down sexual abuse because people are drunk and / or gay - was brilliant.4 points

If somehow he survives until next PMQ (looking very unlikely now) Starmer should literally print all these resignation letters out in a ring binder folder and throw it at the fucker as hard as possible.4 points

Well, personally, I have very mixed feelings about this. We , as a country are in a really bad place now , a place that's going to take perhaps a decade to fix - without even restoring what has been removed via austerity . Conservative corruption and slash and burn policies on existing public services have been in full flow since 2012. On one hand, I HOPE just HOPE that the complete inability of Boris Johnson to hide the corruption - will educate the public to see beyond the curtain at just who the conservatives serve. But on the other hand, Once any party inherits this mess, it's a poisoned chalice , my own view, but I expect there to be little paperwork or planning of any long term strategy behind the scenes, we've been running the country in Campaign mode for 2 , maybe 3 years now - We've the most divided society I've ever known , We've got people accepting that its their job to work on zero hour contracts for massive corps making record profits We are still blaming externalities like refugees and global markets, and then internally poverty and disabilities I don't believe a party can come in and fix this, and then the fucking tories will be painting it to be "that parties fault" for everything. Happened in the 80's , same again in 2010 , why not this time too Worst result is that the tories get rid of Boris and somehow manage to get their fingers back into the marketing engine and make the voters feel like all is right in the world again "Yeah, we made mistakes, but now's the time to move on". Sunak and Savid Massive Cunt Javid's resignations just discredit them further in my opinion. Lying to parliament, partying during a pandemic and allowing tens of thousands extra deaths in the name of "Free trade and freedum yeah!" - is OK? But being lied to directly isn't ... Fuckers...4 points

I’d go the malicious compliance route here, and just add the word today, as I’ve placed it above. Then change them each day, keep everyone in their toes.4 points

He does have a reason though. His authority and mandate to lead has been called into question. To the average man it would look like a huge mistake but to a narcissist like Johnson this could be the perfect opportunity to prove that the public still love him and to put two fingers up to his doubters. I'm not saying it's likely but if the last year has shown us anything it's that Johnson's arrogance knows no bounds and he has zero political nous.3 points
