I know Owen Jones is disliked on here and I do think he's too "right on" for his own good a lot of the time but he was on something with Balls and some tory cunt the other week where they were talking about how despicable it was that Osborne's wedding had been attacked. Jones rightly pointed out that Osbprne had destroyed millions of lives and caused at least tens of thousands of excess deaths through austerity and Balls and the tory basically told Jones he was the worst person in history for saying so. I wrapped it when Rafa left because I didn't have the energy for another round of what I knew was coming, spending a couple of grand for the pleasure. I knew we'd get taken over eventually and I accepted it'd be extremely difficult to return after the bastard had gone, but I'm still fucking delighted with how things have panned out. Now I don't even attempt to buy tickets from the club - it looks a right stress. I get there occasionally through corporate/people I know with tickets who can't make it and when I don't, c'est la vie. Made my choice.

Well let's be nice to each other here and not indulge in mackem like behaviour squabbles. No need to call anyone a scab for attending a game of football. A word which has the worst conotation in the NE short of nonce or paedo. It's not like there was some official boycott of the ground at the time, people made individual choices on whether to go or not, and it we're honest, most people who gave up did so because they stopped enjoying the experience and thought they could get more pleasure elsewhere from the £500 or whatever they were spending. Many people who continued going did so purely for social reasons (myself included). A few might have given up entirely as an objection to Ashley which was their perogative. And some, shock horror, used Ashley's incompetence as a way of seeing matches cheaply. All of this is fine, there's no need to judge people for their actrions imo.

The other academy players rate them extremely highly. Apparently all Lewis does is want to get better and better. I really hope that they have a positive future as it would be great to see local lads do well out of our academy. It would be good to see the club invest in that avenue just as much as bringing in big signings. I have a positive attitude towards West Ham and I think it can only be because they produced J Cole, Ferdinand, Lampard and Defoe- it was so exciting to see the young talent come through. I have no other interest for them. It would be great if we could have a pool come through like this. I don't think it could happen but I would genuinely love it.

When I was at Uni many many years ago I lived with a vetinary student from Norway who was probaly the most morose, sullen person I had ever known, an original goth. Perhaps that's where I got it from. Anyway, I don't know what happened in her life, but she loudly played Nothing Compares to U on a loop at least 10 times a day for the year I lived there. Just struck me, I don't think I ever really got tired of listening to that song, which is quite amazing.

You have to wonder how good he is because the Tigers are crap for a reason! BTW I coached Brooksy as a footballer up until he was 13 and the Tigers said no more. He could have made it as championship level footballer except for the "thinking" aspect of the sport. You'll be fine and back to playing O35 in a season or so. Took about 18 months before I could hit a ball like pre ACL replacement but then again that was 20 years ago, so you'll probably be bionic like Gemmill after this - just make sure you don't tick the chinese mouse option!
