  2. I'd like to point out to our new members, 2 reluctant social media stars who reside on this board. Gemmill - you may have seen him and his eloquent prose on YouTube as Adam Pearson LongTimeAdmirer is the popular Charlotte Robson from True Faith. Just don't blow their cover

  3. Am fairly certain his upturn in form is partly due to his on field nanny being back

  4. The way they're going on you'd think this goal was a matter of life and death. What can they possibly do here in escalation other than get a few people sacked and put the fear of God into the officials? They can't undo the result. Loathsome club tbh, absolutely pathetic.

  6. One thing lads. I'm universally recognised as the greatest match thread starter that this site has ever seen. There's an Australian idiot doing it at the minute who's doing OK if you like that sort of thing. (I don't). Just don't start a match thread unless you have a very thick skin and are prepared to be pilloried if the result doesn't work out. We don't even let thebrokendoll start threads anymore after he nearly wrecked Champions League qualification last season.

  10. Aye Liverpool asking for the audio in the VAR room now... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66987861 Understand it is going to be debated in parliament tomorrow as well.

  13. Hi Everyone, I know you don't know me but I have read this forum on occasion for quite a while. I never posted here as I post only on 'Ed Harrisons Newcastle United Blog' and met many online friends there (and met a few of them in real life too - all decent Ladies and Gents) Some of you (those that post on or read RTG) may have come across me on there occasionally under the name of HardTackle. I like to toy with the mackems sometimes. Anyway... I am here today because it looks like Ed Harrisons Newcastle United Blog (a long standing NUFC institution that I am sure many of you will have read or perhaps commented on) is coming to an end, perhaps as soon as tomorrow! As such many regular posters there will be looking for a new home to stay in touch with each other and to meet new NUFC fanatics so I recommended they join here as opposed to NUFC online (as I always found this forum to be funnier when I read stuff on here) All I politely ask is that you don't delete this post so that should Eds blog indeed come to an end people can meet up here. In general we are a nice bunch of lads and lasses. Of course we have our occasional disagreements but usually all with good banter and we have many truly knowledgeable posters on a wide range of football related topics. I can't guarantee that the odd "mackem in disguise" won't follow us here but unless they change their name we already know who they are.

  25. Their range of options as I see it are: 1. Moan about it but eventually move on. 2. Move on. 3. A bit of 1 and 2. 4. Go to the United Nations court of arbitration and petition to get the game restarted at 1-0 to Liverpool and nobody gets sent off just like every other club does when they're delivered a shit sandwich by VAR. Oh wait, that doesn't happen does it?

  33. The van is not remotely green It absolutely eats the fuel but is still cheaper than hiring one! It’s gone well so far, a couple of poor nights but some very good ones and an incredible one in Bristol. We’d never played there and the room was full, people knew the songs and were dancing about and bought merch & vinyls We weren’t expecting any sort of crowd but got about 60 perfect strangers! Weird

  34. nowt shitty about plastic bertrand's lyrical masterpiece.... Yam! Bam! My cat Splash is crashed out on my bed He's swallowed his tongue From drinking all my whisky Whereas me, not much sleep, drained, pissed off, I had to sleep in the gutter, Where I had a vision In four colours Come on, let's go! One morning, A chick came to my place Cellophane doll, (with) Chinese hair, A bandaid, a hangover, Drank my beer, from a big glass made of rubber like an Indian in his igloo Everything's awesome for me Off we go! That chick, What enthusiasm, what a buzz To hit the hay! Shagged, ruined, emptied, satiated, "You are the king of the divan" Is what she told me in passing I am the king of the divan Everything's awesome for me Come on! Butt out, back off, Don't touch my planet It's not today that the sky will fall on my head and that I will miss/run out of alcohol Everything's awesome for me On we go! My chick took off, shot through Finally had enough Broke everything the sink, the bar, leaving me alone like a big idiot I put my foot in it Everything's awesome for me

  35. I honestly think that's what they're trying to do here. Make an example and damage the careers of the specific officials involved. Human sacrifice is the only punishment the liver bird will accept now.

  39. Apparently the officials involved had reffed an exhibition match in Dubai during the week and "only" returned 48 hours before the Spurs v Liverpool match. James Richardson is asking on his podcast whether it's appropriate that officials return to the country that close to a game with "lingering fatigue" etc. I'm asking whether it's appropriate for the entire football punditing world to so clearly demonstrate its pro Liverpool bias.

  41. Personally I wont disrupt that whatsoever. If I bring any specialist qualifications at all it is usually analysis of FFP and the myriad changing rules in the CL/UEFA in general.....I am pretty good at that kinda thing. So boring and most people won't read it anyway.

  44. Hi I’m Rob and I was once smuggled into France in the boot of a maroon Vauxhall Vectra on Le Shuttle to attend a NUFC pre season friendly in the Rotterdam suburbs. This was because I woke up the day of the game after about three hours sleep and I couldn’t find my passport. Did I mention I also have a strong aversion to badge kissers? Anyway, welcome
