average when put against West Ham Hopeless when put against Newcastle So hopeless he's above us in the table, so hopeless he's recruited better players than us in the last 4 years.
-
He does? I thought his link was severed when he left Wycombe when he finished his loan?
-
Is Curbishley hopeless or average?
-
Bought by an "average manager"
-
Arsprilla couldn't lace Cantonas boots mate Obviously but not even my point. Cantona gave the impression of strolling around not giving a shit, seen as he didn't seem like a grafter was it a detriment to his footballing ability? Hopeless manager? I take it you mean Curbishley? What utter fucking bollocks. Don't think Cantona strolled around at all. Curbishley is an average manager at best, suited to small clubs like Charlton and West Ham, with zero personality, zero charisma. A big job like us, ManCity etc would be far too much for him. Cantona didn't put as much graft in as Bellamy does. Who is the better player?

Remind me who Craig Bellamy plays for again? Besides the point as Bellamy had/has qualites though. As for players strolling round not with the appearance of not giving a shite, Cantona springs to mind. Suppose he was shite as well?

point proven. You don't have to be a pretty footballer to be a good centre half. So when do I sign my contract and replace Taylor then? I'd be fucking gutted if I lose my place to Rio Ferdinand as well as he wouldn't really the same level of courage, heart, desire and commitment that I have for Newcastle. What about Vidic then ? Well, I started by saying someone that has been accused of lacking heart and commitment then ended with changing it to more than me. Vidic has more of those qualities than Ferdinand so it could have easily applied to him in the end.
-
You're basically proving outsider's views that it's all about commitment and pride as well. Lets just fill our team with 11 grafters eh, with absolutely no footballing qualities whatsoever?

The mentions of Larsson, Laudrup and Gazza a blatant giveaway of an old firm member tbh
-
Courage, desire, heart and commitment basically the same thing? I've got all 4 and it doesn't make me a decent player.
-
None this season. At least he's improved on that. Saying that though, he could have conceded one on Saturday and he should have conceded one against Man Utd when he chose to randomly stick a leg out with Ronaldo running at him.
-
Ah shit, my mistake. Taylor does have strength, particularly when he's barging players over on the edge of the area. He even makes Ameobi look patient in the tackle tbh. How many penalties does this spanner give away anyway?
-
Where have I said that you insufferable dullard? Tbf, you pretty much highlighted it as a major drawback. I didn't, just said he was shown up against Benjani. A deficit in strength can be masked with other abilities though. Although Cacapa maybe hasn't got the quality to completely mask it. Taylor however lacks pace, anticipation, composure, strength and a brain of any kind.

So you're admitting he hasn't the physical strength to be a good premiership defender, now that its been exposed to everyone ? His lack of strength was embarrassingly shown up against Portsmouth and Benjani isn't the biggest anyway. Nevertheless, he's still a better defender than Taylor.
-
Basically the epitome of cool tbh.
-
Including Woodgate tbh It was more than 4 games though Didn't you just say opinions can change? Cacapa's reading of the game was exceptional at the start of the season. He's fell to pieces since the Portsmouth game though. Oh and I love the cretinous use of lololololololoollll1!!!111oneoneeleven in trying to put an argument to bed.
-
You're basically judging Cris on one or two games tbh, we've seen Taylor in over 70. He's fucking atrocious. Gives away stupid fouls around the edge of the box that piles the pressure on. Can't head a ball, can't organise a defence no matter how much he points and tries to push up. Every game he's pointing, trying to organise. Like I said earlier he done this on Saturday and completely forgot about marking Carew. What a fucking spanner.
-
Faye should have played yesterday alongside Taylor Don't see how that would have prevented Taylor losing his man tbh
-
Complete fucking liability. Did you see him yesterday man when Carew had the header saved by Given? Spent the entire time "pointing and organising" In the meantime Carew had left him and forced a save from Given.

Really don't understand how it would be Allardyce's fault if we were relegated. We were mid-table when Keegan took over, if we go down it's squarely on his head. Mainly down to a favourable fixture list Allardyce beat better teams than Boro and Bolton at home. We certainly wouldn't have conceded as many goals if he was still in charge. Can't actually believe some people are removing blame from Keegan's door should he take us down.
-
Hence the mystery timing of the sacking. Fresh starts are better made in the summer. Really? The season was already over. Giving your new manager a head start of six months to have a look at the squad and the things he wants to change is much better than to try to do it with limited time in the summer. But it's not though, I might agree with you if we were sitting on 40-odd points but there's still games to win and I can't see us winning any at the minute.
