  1. I'd take him for sure he'll be a good PL striker after a run of games, hes not as slow as some are making out, pace isnt his main attribute but hes by no means pedestrian, he's got the odd touch of brilliance about him and coming from arsenal he'll be a good all round footballer but as Ive said every other time hes been mentioned he thinks hes so much better than he is, this might be remedied with a run of games in a PL first 11, apart from when he was on lona at birmingham the most league starts hes had in a season is 17 and he got 9 goals out of them.

and every so often he does something that makes me think he could be a really good player

like that, I dont think we will sign him though, dont reckon ashley will pay the rates, fee or wages. be happy to be proven wrong though

At the moment, its either us or Stoke interested in taking him. Do you think Stoke would also cough up for him? I think its Bendtner that needs to lower his expectations. I would be happy to see him prove himself with us.

  2. NEWCASTLE’S striker hunt has hit another snag after Paris Saint-Germain confirmed they want to keep United’s top target Mevlut Erdinc.

The big-spending Ligue One club scotched speculation that United have had a £6.5million bid for the player accepted – saying Newcastle are yet to table any offer.

In another twist in the long-running saga, PSG have poured cold water on suggestions that a move for Erdinc is gathering momentum.

While United’s interest remains, it increasingly looks like they will have to go elsewhere if they are to add a striker before the big kick-off in a fortnight’s time.

A PSG spokesman said: “The fax machine is on, the door is open, but no-one has made a bid.”

So if The Sun are to be believed, we are now chasing after Jermaine Defoe? It said if the Erdinc deal falls flat, that would be our next target. Yeah, right...there is more chance of Defoe coming to us then Daley Thompson being my grandmother

  3. Would of been nice to of got him but like its been said we dont really need any more CM's. Tiote, Barton, Cabaye, Guthrie, Gosling. Theres more pressing areas.

Cabaye has been brought in to create chance through the middle and i'd imagine he will give us more off the ball too.

Erm...Guthrie? OK, I have said it before, i know how much of a pain in the ass Taarabt is, but i would rather see him in our shirt then anyone else's. It won't happen anyway so thread over.

  4. If its a straight choice between us and Arsenal we've got no hope tbh

Well, not necessarily. Does he want to sit on the bench most of the time and play in the Carling Cup, or does he want regular 1st team action alongside his buddy in Tiote? I'm more edging towards he will choose us. Still, always ready to be disappointed though....

  5. I think he has massively improved since playing in the role he plays now at Wigan and if we played him the same way, him and Ben Arfa could link up really well. He was a moody twat I know, but he is a player we could only be better with. I have no idea why I keep reading on here (CT for example) that we should play him at left back? Why on earth.....oh, i can't be bothered to finish that obvious sentence.....

  6. That was brilliant. Why have we consistently play better against the top teams this season and crap against teams we should beat? Arsenal (twice), Liverpool at home, Manu U at home, Chelsea now twice, we have played as good as our opposition and deserved the points. Then we play the likes of Blackpool and its a different story.

  7. I work for Monster and Beats by Dr. Dre and know what a good businessman Lebron James is through our PowerBeats association with him. Seems like he has his head screwed on.

Maybe we will see Lady Gaga join forces with Ashley?!!

  8. I totally believe this story. My ex girlfriends brother is french and he all of a sudden started supporting Newcastle a few months back. He said it was about Ben Arfa and how Newcastle have been with him. Any French people on this site?

  9. ashley wont sell cause hes just brought pardew in that would seem a waste so the only for him is to invest in players weather he likes it or not

If I can translate this correctly (and I thought Chinese was a tough nut to crack) Ashley can do what the fuck he likes. He is the owner. I think you will find the "whether he likes it or not" argument a bit thin on the ground. (Unless you saw it on Fifa 11, then that's ok then)

  10. I was watching the Liverpool game yesterday and it really pains me to see him in the red strip. I must say, I have always had a disliking to Liverpool so it pains me even more to see him. The problem is, I still really like Andy Carroll and I want to see him do well, and for England. He is still a Geordie and I'm not convinced he really wanted to go, but money talks in this game.

So do you still like him or do you want him to fail?

  11. I didn't think I would ever say this, but i am actually starting to like the guy. Not just because of the results and whatever he is saying during the half time break, but just the way he conducts himself in interviews. I absolutely loved Hughton, but honestly, I never had that feeling we would be safe from relegation, but even before the Arsenal game, I started feeling we were playing better as a unit and passing better. Lets face it, he has even got Jonas playing well which can only help. I'm not going to get carried away as there is still a long way to go in terms of development, but I see the team spirit Hughton started get even stronger. I think the key will be how we do in the transfer market come summer and what influence Pardew has on it, and if he can keep the likes of Tiote, Enrique etc...

Now I just want to see Ben Arfa back in the black and white.
