Fucking Joselu, man. Okay, Mitrovic missed plenty of chances two seasons ago during the regulation stretch that helped sink us, but overall he's just a better footballer than Jose. I think he could have helped us a little more this season than him.

Alright, so Mike Ashley forced the resignation of Kevin Keegan. Yes, he renamed St. James' Park. Also, since he's been here we've got a terrible record in the league and F.A. Cups. It's true that under him we've become a selling club. True that under his regime long time supporters have stopped attending games. Alright, so we've been relegated twice and perhaps another one coming.
But apart from forcing Keegans resignation,
renaming St. James' Park,
getting terrible results in cup games,
becoming a selling club,
long time supporters suffering terrible times,
been relegated twice under his tenure...
What has Mike Ashley ever done to piss us off, EH?!

That sounds idiotic to me. We will forever be a poor club with Ashley picking who they sign. Is this common in European football? In N.A. you have the coach and General Manager that make trades and draft picks. The teams where the owner gets involved too much usually stink, see the Cleveland Browns.
It seems that this is a normal practice for Rafa because he's still here!

I still do not understand how the club does not have more money to spend. It's bollocks. Hate to go back to the lack of signings during the summer window, but it that was wicked. Buy Gameiro /Slimani and/or whomever and NOT just Jorgensen. FFS.
Jorgensen alone in the stretch run makes me nervous.

That would be welcomed news. However, there are rumblings the Jonjo Shelvey is off to West Ham. If true, we can not play the rest of the season with Merino and Hayden in midfield, imo. Merino could be a great player someday but he is far from that now.
Is there talk that we're bringing in more than Kenedy and Gamerio? Because I'm not reading anything other than those two.

Iirc, there were two of you claiming to have "insiders" knowledge of what was going on. Gloom, you mentioned that the deal was off but will get done later in the year. And the other bloke, whose name escapes me right now, was claiming the opposite, that the deal would get done soon in this window.
I wonder how far back I have to go in this thread to find that guy so I can block him forever.

So admittedly I know little about Slimani except that he's about 6'1'/ 6'2' and played in Portugal prior to signing with Lester a few years ago for over $20 mil. Is he athletic and posses a bit of speed or is he more like Joselu athletically?
