  1. What difference does a manager make? As history would prove, quite alot. And RDM is a far better manager than Pardew will ever be. Im confident he would turn us around. And even if not, there are loads of other managers who would relish the idea. Garcia from Lille perhaps?
  2. would make for a brilliant roadtrip I reckon.
  3. Brock, does the philosophy and way of playing currently sit well with you? If not, do you think it could be improved upon by switching manager - keeping in mind the way southampton played given their lack of resources..
  4. Ok fair enough I guess. Why are we knackered though? we field basically a reserve team in the waffa, and Bobby seemed to rince many teams after european jaunts midweek. Additionally when you have pardew coming out BEFORE the southampton game and telling the world we are knackered - I Wonder what kind of effect that has? Can just imagine the saints players thinking "cant wait to play these TIRED players" as well as players themselves having an excuse as well as pardew. From a fotball psychology point of view, I cant see the positives in coming out BEFORE the match and saying we are shot? Anyone who can enlighten me?
  5. They are playing better than us atm though alex, as much as it pains me to say it.
  6. I do enjoy a spicey kebab every now and then between all the bratwursts
  7. And Ben Arfa and Ba/cisse got us 5th. Either you give the manager credit for the achievement, or you dont. You cant have it both ways At least he prefers passing the ball. Chelsea fans seems outraged he was sacked. And if you want to get into CV`s, Pardew was sacked from a league 1 club prior to coming here.
  8. Yet another post about injuries and transfers. Do you watch us play? Its not about getting breaks and clawing a couple of wins. The fotball we play is making many fans stop caring about the team, including me. Cant stand to watch it anymore, we are a disgrace to fotball atm.
  9. Ill just say it. How about Roberto Di Matteo? Free agent, decent manager who likes to play it on the ground? If we are to drone on about the 5th arguement in pardews case, Di Matteo just won the Champions league ffs A million miles better than pardew. FWIW id rather have martinez but just to present an immediate alternative.
  10. Ok we should be thankful for merely being in the premier league and expect nothing. I cant argue with you on that, its your opinion and you are entitled to it. Zero ambition. You, Pardew and Ashley would have a whale of an evening should you ever meet in a bar.
  11. It has nothing to do with transfers, why are people thinking it has? Or do you think 0 points from West Ham, Swansea, Southampton, Stoke and Wigan back to back is reasonable since their squads are better than ours?
  12. By the time you are willing to give him, it might be too late to turn it around.
  13. Many of our goals came from individual performances, thats probably the magic he is talking about. It has nothing to do with pardew. Aimaad, can you please link me a goal coming from good build-up play and not ben arfa nutmegging 4 people or ba hitting a wondervolley? I promise you there arent many, and its no coincidence. Alan Pardew was ill prepared for the season and at the moment it doesn't look like he has a clue how to turn it round. His management skills ultimately depend on luck and individual brilliance. Ok most managers do, but they can also get a team to do the basic's right. Even with the great results last season, we never looked a real quality side, only in short spurts. Get rid as I can't watch his brand of hoofball anymore.
  14. He aint assembling shit, he is a coach. Or how do you explain how we shop continental pass and move players for hoofball? I want him sacked after 1 win in 8 and we are lucky we have those 3 wins this year, undeserved all of them. WBA in particular - I felt sorry for them.
  15. Yes, but thats not what you wrote. You wrote that we played better than them. Which we werent. We werent playing well at all, which will come back and bite you sooner or later. And behold, we are tumbling. 6/49 games under pardew has been watchable. 1 win in the last 8. That win was yet another robbery against west brom. Havent come back from 0-1 behind in 2 years. not scored on a corner in 2 years. Shall I continue?
  16. So the only players playing well are the ones capable of skinning people on their own. Thats not down to Alan fish, its called individualism Everyone else who has to pass it is playing shit. If thats not telling then I dont know what is. A return of key players and a january window drier than a 80 year old fanny - you are grasping for straws. We are lacking 1 or two players, 3 at a push. EVERY SQUAD has injuries. It shouldnt have as big a impact on the way we are playing that pardew is suggesting. And it hasnt. We are not playing well with a full squad either. Its all hogwash and you are buying into it. Either you are just thick, or you have been brainwashed. Used to think of you as a fairy intelligent fella but its simply not possible to not see these signs if you have a functioning brain.
  17. Just a fair few on here who seems to be grateful to just be in the premier league and we should expect nothing. Here we have a manager who is dismantling and alienating the best team in 10 years, full of talented pass-and-movers. Keep in mind this is the guy who kept Tevez and Mascherano on the bench because he had no idea how to use them and instead used some shite championship level british players. Is that the man we want handling our crown jewels?
  18. We have proven time and time again we play just as shit with a full squad, the only difference is being a bit more solid at the back from having colo there. We played better than Chelsea, arsenal and Man U last season We never once looked like a top-5 team, full stop. Im done with debating with you, if you cannot see that we are massively underperforming and that its down to the manager, its like teaching the deaf to hear. Love the whole give the manager time thing. So cliche. What is he doing at the moment to earn more time? The team is tumbling down the table. None, absolutely none of the players are playing well, and we do have number of very good payers. Never mind ugly, the football is pointless and completely unproductive. What is he showing to allow any kind of faith in him? Help me understand. How do people expect this to be turned around exactly? The simplest thing you would have expected him to try by now i.e. changing formation, he has refused to do! Arrogantly exclaiming that none of the fans were talking about formations or tactics last year. The situation is ridiculous. It's only going to be harder to recover the longer he stays.
  19. I love the aggressive " WHO WOULD YOU HIRE THEN" responses whenever I call for Pardews head. Lambert left a bigger club than Wigan to manage Villa. Swansea attracted Laudrup. Fulham have got Jol. Even if it's not Martinez I find the idea we couldn't attract somebody who could coach decent football into our squad a bit mad. Even if it is Ashley/Llambias, I think you'd have a queue of managers willing to do it. The opposing attitude carried by Gejon on here is exactly what Ashley and his oiks want the fans to think. There's an undercurrent of "Little old Newcastle, we're lucky to even be in the top league, so forget about properly competing" within day-to-day communications and also wider level stuff, and it's fucking bullshit. We're not Man Utd, but we're being completely shortchanged with the lack of ambition shown at the club. In that sense Ashley and Pardew are a very good fit.
  20. Our inability to pass, move and act as a coherent team has absolutely bugger all to do with the fact that we should have brought a few more bodies in in the summer. There are plenty of teams who play far better than us with worse players. Or are you saying Southamptons squad is better than ours? Pardew is responsible.
  21. Look whos asking, I say.The boards biggest dullard. You`d think MT was 60. He is 25.
  22. Been following NUFC since 96 and this form is if anything even worse than the 2008 relegation season. Hughes is a better manager than pardew. This appointment is quickly turning horrific too. Look, He's a c*** Always was He keeps looking or luck or a bit of magic Mainly because it was pure luck and individual pieces of magic that got 5th last year rather than anything he brought to the party. There is a reason he was managing in league one, never mind why he was sacked from a league one club
