Does the word makem not come from `make them'.as in `mak 'em and tak 'em' ( make them and take them' )

I've never met a makem who has been calm before, but not after being asked `Phillips or Shearer'. Give it a go.

But the makems do know what it's like in the land of milk and honey. Do makems hate geordies because deep down they would prefer to be geordies. Think about it and you can start to realise why there is so much hatred from them.Maybe we should give them a bit slack.

They are obsessed with Sunderland being better than Newcastle in everything. I remember a makem mate of mine years ago bragging they had more lanes across the Wearmouth bridge than the Tyne bridge. You can discuss many topics with makems but once you start discussing NUFC v SMB logic goes out the window and shite takes it's place. Ask `Phillips v Shearer and you'll know what i mean.
