  1. He said he left to win trophies. We're not going to win trophies. He wants to win league titles and Champions League titles and with the disparity in the Premiership, that's not going to happen with us.

The league titles over the last 18 years have gone to Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea, with Man City joining the party after spending the best part of half a billion quid. Unless he joins one of those clubs, there's no chance of winning trophies in England. I don't think he's talking about a one off League Cup win.

  2. Good on you and Rolling Stones family times much more important than the way these fuckers are running the show I remember when at one time they had a waiting list for STs mind I think it was before this shower of shite took over.

It was also when we had a much smaller stadium. Although we used to frequently sell out, it was always easy enough to get a ticket for any individual game.

  3. We did 5 nights in Venice in November.

Nowt like real Italy, it's just wall to wall tourism and price fixing. For somewhere with so much history and cultural significance, it really lacks any sort of heartbeat.

We ended up getting the train out to Verona for a day, which is an infinitely nicer place. Good fun pissing about on the water taxis though, which have stations with the same colour scheme as the metro.

  4. I know he was thick and I always thought he would go as well as having no doubt the appeal would fail. That doesn't make it any less dreadful a decision or implementation of the rules.

Referees are there to decide is an altercation intentional or accidental ... Is it dangerous or handbags.

The whole thing was handbags and the only real unsporting conduct came from the Norwich prick.

Aye, can't disagree with any of that. It's one of those that if the ref (or linesman) sees, it's only going to go one way.

  5. Earlier in the season another teams player made the same movement with the same 'contact' and was not in any way penalised. I'm not saying this to excuse Remy, but to highlight once again the inconsistencies in the application of the rules.

Edit: 'twas Jon Shelvey on Debuchy.

Aye I remember the incident, and the bastard scored shortly afterwards too.

  6. i hate that fat cunt allerdyce

He has no redeeming features whatsoever.

He is the only manager we've had where I've wanted to see the back of him from the minute he arrived. Never been as miserable as a fan as when he was in charge.

  7. "Finally, the conditions of his departure did not create a favorable environment to flourish. Clement would have arrived at Newcastle, not as Clément Grenier, but as a substitute Yohan Cabaye."

Aww bless, poor bairn. Bliddy agents.

  8. The rules say touching an opponent with your face is automatic red?

They don't say that specifically, but how do you draw the line? How hard does he have to move his head towards another player's to be deemed worthy of violent conduct and therefore a red?

It's not as if this is the first soft headbutt we've seen given a straight red. Remy knew the crack and should have just backed away.

  9. Remy moved his head towards Johnson's and made contact. That makes his a red.

Because there was contact made, there can be no charge of simulation (that's what the rules say).

All of this appeal fuss detracts away from the fact that Remy was stupid and should have stepped away.

  10. I reckon his value would be unlikely to increase if he sulked his way through the remainder of the season.

It's also not too healthy to have players sat on the bench watching a player start who doesn't even want to be here.

All this is hypothetical though, who knows?

  11. Tell you what, we'd have been more likely to get him for a smaller fee if we hadn't already sold Cabaye. De Jong on loan, Grenier for £10m, then sell Cabaye for £20m and we're back in the black.

Had we signed him first, PSG would have dropped their offer for Cabaye and we'd be left with a cash shortfall. We'd then either have to sell Cabaye for less or keep a wantaway player.

  12. So Johnson doesn't even get a yellow, for starting a fight. He didn't even get a yellow for raking his studs down Debuchy either.

    Meh. What's done is done.

The stage is set for De Jong.

  13.

CT you never ever cook fish in a microwave, it doesn't cook it at a high enough temperature. It still can have bacteria left in the fish.

It'll be perfectly safe if it's done in a bag, as the steam keeps the temperature even. Cooking it without the bag would be risky though.

  14.

However....... Five minutes, what the fuck? That would just create mush. One minute full power is all that's needed.

If he likes it mushy though, that's his choice. I personally like it a bit more firm, but I know a few people who like it well done.
