After that hoax tape was sent in the Makem drivers (3 of them) kept getting pulled over by the cops. One week one of the lads had a Devon & Cornwall run usually a couple of nights out. Anyway he went missing for 4 days turned in for work on the 5th morning all unshaven looking rough ws fuck he'd been at Sunderland cop shop for 4 nights getting interrogated. He said there came a point during the questioning were he began asking himself if he'd done it. He said they were relentless. Best of it was he was a really nice bloke proper family man etc
