  1. With Jonas Gutierrez trending in the UK on Twitter it seems that almost all supporters of all clubs have called the releasing of Gutierrez a disgrace, while others saying he wasn't good enough anyway, so this was the right decision. Among the other players released are Adam Campbell, Jak Alnwick, Remie Streete and Facundo Ferreyra.

    Charnley statement:

"Ryan and Jonas have both contributed significantly to Newcastle United over a number of years and on behalf of the Board, I would like to place on record our sincere thanks to both players for the excellent service they have given the club.
"It was a great pleasure to see Ryan and Jonas come back into the team in recent weeks and compete at the highest level after the injury and illness battles they have had to overcome. To come through those difficult periods with such strength and dignity will have given hope and inspiration to many and it is clear that our supporters have a deep connection and affection for both players, as does everyone associated with the club."
What do you make of this?
  2. Player of the Season (can be talent or performances I suppose?) Janmaat

Worst player of the Season - Williamson

Best Moment - Either Jonas' goal vs West Ham or Sissoko's goal vs Man City away in the cup

Worst Moment - Nonce's goal at the Gallowgate End on my birthday (21/12)

Best Goal - Perez vs West Brom away

Best Game - Either Man City away in the cup or Chelsea at home

Worst Game - Man City away in the league or Leicester away in league

Worst Pardew quote - 'Newcarsle fans are errr an extreme of any...fan.'

Worst Carver quote - 'I still think I'm the best coach in the Premier League'

  3. Haha, obviously getting the bus from Marsden there is a lot easier than gan back in to Newcastle then back to Sunderland, so we had a few pints not far from where Roker Park used to be. It was before the derby that, I worked there for 4 years, and they're trampier now than they were 10 years ago. It's the defniition of third world. The Toon is like a catwalk in comparison. That day though, my first derby at the SOL, was my second worst day this year. Amazed me how we could play so staggeringly shit against a team that had just lost 0-4 at home to Palace and Villa.

Didn't they lose 1-4 to Palace after the derby?

Just saying that makes me wonder how we didn't beat this shower of shite in both games.

  4. Ashley likes to employ people who aren't football people (cliché, I know) and struggle to see things from the fans' perspectives.

Ashley has employed football people before, but they were just total cunts and thick as shit (Dennis Wise and JFK). The club should employ someone like Shearer or Keegan but given the current regime's relationship with those two that's impossible.
