  1. Thanks 👍 I'm sure I'll be fine, it's just a bit of momentary discomfort that needs to be kept in perspective.
  2. Just reading about Staveley there. Is everybody aware that she's had Huntington's for the last eight years, or there abouts. It takes someone of special character to keep going in the high pressure finance world she's in, and then to even pull off buying the club, especially given how difficult it's been. Hats off to her in any case. Here's me feeling sorry for myself because I have bells palsy, which will likely clear up in matter of weeks.
  3. When someone who was at the top level of the game, albeit when players were still allowed to get pissed after training and eat chips, just lets themselves go like this and gives up, you have to question their general mentality. And I'm not even joking. Rafa seems to be the only anomaly I can think of, but maybe it's glandular 😉
  4. But doesn't keeping a dead man walking around stink up the place, more so than Cabbage already did. Surely getting rid soon as and putting Jones interim would have been the thing to do. I mean I think it's clear that Staveley is trying to be very respectful, but in trying to appear different to Ashley, she may limit her initial effectiveness, but hopefully not.
  5. Yeah give Rafa the heave ho and get in fucking Warnock. Fuck me these twats don't exactly betray the idea that most sportspeople are as thick as two planks.
  6. They likely thought his crawling on his knees to them begging, with brownsauce all over his face, was too unseemly to release.
  7. Was just thinking there that the ideal initial scenario could be that Rangnick comes in initially as as head coach for the rest of the season, and then moves into the directors role at the end of the season. He's coached RB Leipzig twice on a short term basis, has extensive on hand coaching experience himself, and what better way would there be for him to find out exactly what the club needs in terms of players, staff, infrastructure etc. than if he did the job on a temporary basis, as well as to keep us up in the league and ticking over.
  8. Touch sanctimonious in places, but there's no denying he's a good writer.
  9. Are they going to let the numpty take training? Seems a bit fucking weird. I thought it would be a polite fuck off Brucie, and Jones would be installed as interim.
  10. I'm not in favour of giving it to Gerrard either, but realistically any manager that we have come in will likely be a stepping stone for us as well. Someone who can develop the club in the right direction to the point where we can seriously think about appointing the Guardiola tier managers.
  11. Meanwhile we've had Cabbage, I don't do tactics, head. To have the ability to go out and hire the top brains in football to build the club is fucking surreal.
  12. Given they are bringing in a director of football like Rangnick, or McPartland etc, as Kid highlights in the Telegraph story, it's very unlikely they'll give full control over the transfers to any manager. But it seems to be system that works for a lot of, if not nearly all of, the most successful teams. The key I would imagine is how much trust and communication can be fostered between whoever the DOF and manager turn out to be.
  13. In fairness we're very likely second choice. Not that I'd give two fucks if it turned out we were further down the list of clubs she wanted to buy, than Bruce was on Fatley's potential toadie list.
  14. I'd take Rafa in a heartbeat to lay the foundations as well, but despite what monkey hands etc think of him, he's shown himself to be pretty loyal in term of when he signs a contract. I just can't see him breaking a contact and moving from a job basically in his backyard, and especially not when the season is already seven games in.
  15. Steven Gerrard I can understand given he's basically a fledgling manager working in a league with two teams, but Rogers is an entirely different beast. He's done a very decent job of trying to get into that top four, albeit failing at the last hurdle, given the resources available to those top 4 stalwarts. And look he's not even my fifth choice if we could literally get any manager we wanted from the off, but unfortunately regardless of the money we now have, it's very unlikely that we have carte blanche in that respect, given the current state of the club.
  16. I think given the position we currently find ourselves in, being this far into a season, the state of the squad etc we have to be fairly realistic as to who we can get. I mean if rumours are to be believed Conte has turned us down out of hand because he doesn't want such a big project. My punt would be Rogers, and even for him to leave Leicester at this stage of this season to join us would take some bravery from him, regardless of the amount of money he'd have behind him. Rogers I think for a few years could get us into some sort of shape so as to be able to move onto the next level. Whether it would the end of his time would depend of course on how well he'd done and whether there was scope for further improvement under him. Rogers knows the league top to bottom and seems like a bit of a good time Charlie, so the riches of the Saudi's could well tempt him.
  17. Is that Postman Pat and Susan Boyle's lovechild to the right of Shearer?
  18. Apart from what this means for the club, I can't wait until Ant and Dec do a It's a knockabout revival live from Riyadh.
  19. The anger from the biggest hypocrites in football i.e. the so called top six who wanted the super league, is making this even sweeter.
  20. I gave up pork recently, so I'd like to think I've done my part.
  21. The question is do they go with an interim manager to get us over the line for this season, or do they go straight for their number one target. High level managers might think they're on a hiding to nothing given our current position, how long it is until the next window, and our current squad. Ridiculous wages could of course iron over any creases.
  22. Literally as the news was coming in last night I felt the left side of my face go numb. Apparently it's bells palsy likely caused by an infection. Been given a load of antibiotics and steroids which 9 times out of 10 clears it up. What I'm taking from it is it was Gods way of giving me a little punishment, so I never have to destroy myself with cognitive dissonance over the moral complication of who our owners are 😄
  23. Sinclair's overhead for QPR is enough to make him a minor legend in my book. Mills can fuck off of course.
