Every German outlet I've seen, and obviously that Bayern director of football, are quoting his price at 90m euro. Are they really that petty as to stick another 10m on top, or are they just uninformed. But yeah, Germany are pretty woeful on the whole. Nagelsmann gets a big name as a great young coach, but they couldn't look much more disjointed. I trust Eddie to have a plan that makes full use of Woltemade's strengths as a player.

Nothing terrible. Slovakia have been good, and bar a few mazy runs from Wirtz, Germany in general have been poor. Woltemade hasn't really gotten much service, bar perhaps a header he could have done better with.

The more I think about Isak supposedly trying to ruin our Champions League chances, I think it's more likely that he simply had no interest in trying because it didn't benefit him. And then he of course missed both Arsenal and Liverpool with his dubious thigh injury which in retrospect is highly suspicious. The point being though is there is a difference, however small, of someone who's actively trying to throw matches, and someone who's playing within themselves because they don't given a fuck about the team. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the thought about us missing out on the CL and the implications of that crossed his mind, but actively throwing matches is probably a level above what he was doing.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but supposedly we only got Wissa signed with literally 30 seconds to spare. Whether Brentford were playing silly beggars in order to scare us a little by way of revenge I don't know, but as people have already said Wissa is going to be crucial for us not only for his goals, but in allowing us to bed in Woltemade. And obviously you just need more than one credible option up top. To think that at the very least our season until January could have been severely hampered and it came down to 30 seconds is crazy.

Germans are weird but generally harmless. Best not to think about why he has the social media of a 12 year old girl too much. He seems to love his mum, so he can't be all bad 😂

It still puzzles me that we supposedly have a no dickheads rule, but repeatedly tried to sign a guy who also mugged us off at least twice. But perhaps Eddie makes exceptions for the big talents in the team like Isak was, or this guy could have been. Fergie famously gave players like Cantona a lot of leeway of course.

30m? Fuck me sideways that's alot for him. We spent 10m plus 5m in add ons for him, so at worst we've doubled our money if those add ons were triggered. As far I'm concerned we haven't overpaid for anyone given that deal. Troll logic I know, but I'll take good news where I can get it.
