Its clear that they're peddling him for non-football reasons. This is more to do with him being part of the players committee imo.
As it happens I don't rate him and would prefer to see Krul given his chance although I'm expecting a few mistakes from him along the way but thats just part of the learning curve.

Also interesting whether todays reserve game has brought Fergie and Marveaux into play. Hard to think Marveaux would play that well and not get a run out, especially as he lasted the full 90.

We've not been in for Pieters. I think at best the club might have enquired as to his availability and either been flatly told no or quoted a figure they were never prepared to meet. If we had any interest in him, it died immediately, and the club obviously had no back up plan. I've seen nothing to substantiate claims of our interest in the player: no, Deano's imaginary Dutch friends don't count. Also known as 'buckets'.
