Sh*te decision according to Merson.

Wigan down to 10.

Thank f*ck for Spurs & Sunderland this season.

You know for a fact Henri Camara will fill his boots now.

With these things seemingly regular visitors to Turkey, you'd have thought that he'd bought himself a much clearer camera by the September sightings, or after the few earlier in the summer, more UFOlogists (is that a word?! ) would have been in the area with better technology to film these.

I've stupidly put us in an accumulator so we've got no chance.

Ironic thing is, they begged for Hoddle to come back, and within about 6 months had turned against him and couldn't get shot of him quick enough.
Fairweather fans you might call them...

I remember being linked to Terry in the Chronicle, even remember the headline 'TERRY'S ALL GOLD"
I bet he regrets that decision...would have probably been another career we f*cked up.

Lua-Lua now playing in Qatar I think deserves a mention as well.
-
Just been thinking there, and there's one name who should be walking into the number 9 shirt to partner Jeffers that I can't believe hasn't been mentioned yet...
Carl Cort.
From an England Under-21, £7m striker when we bought him, down to Wolves, Leicester, and last time I heard was playing for Marbella in the third-tier of Spanish football. Can't imagine he'd be far past the 30-year old mark either.

Would love to pinch Cisse from under their noses in the summer. Still think he's a good player.
-
With or without Keane, they're going to struggle. The key to them is keeping Cisse fit. Anything happens to him, and the likes of Murphy, Waghorn & Diouf are hardly going to get the goals to save them.
-
It is a fact that Keane is no more than a chequebook manager, and not a good one at that.
It is a fact that he's living off that 2-1 win.

I can really see WBA, Sunderland & West Ham being the three to go down. Might stick a cheeky couple of quid on that.

Breaking News.
"Setanta Sources: Roy Keane has not travelled with his Sunderland team to Blackburn - Sunderland have refused to make any comment"

Interesting to see Essien on that list from his Bastia days!
Remember looking through the "Rumours" section on nufc.com, and he was linked with us from Bastia in 2000/1.

John Curtis is a great shout.

Just had a catch up with what's going on at St-Etienne. The other Director of Football was actually sacked, within a week, so was the manager, and he's just appointed Alain Perrin as manager.
-
St-Etienne are in a bigger mess than us at the moment. Last time I saw, they don't just have one Director of Football, they have TWO. They re-appointed Comolli after Spurs sacked him.
Currently 18th in the table too.
-
We've already got a defensive-midfielder in the team.
-
Aye, that's the one.
Think Djemba-Djemba might fill in at centre-back. Came with a good reputation from France, played for Man Utd, Villa, Burnley and now Odense.

Good stuff.
That was a great time to be brought up as a football fan. Just about remember the 91-2 season, but from the promotion season I remember it well. ITV having coverage to Newcastle & Sunderland games, Jack Charlton's sh*t co-commentary...and for some reason, one of my most vivid memories of that season was watching Sunderland against someone on ITV some Sunday afternoon, Peter Davenport waiting to take a penalty and trying mind-games with the keeper by pointing which way he'd put it...he went to put it where he pointed and the keeper saved it easily.

That can't have been a straight red was it?
