My holiday is coming up next month.
Going to Copenhagen, then Malmo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo and back to Newcastle via Edinburgh. It's a lot of flying for a valium guzzler such as myself, but I reckon it's time I manned up since it's for my 30th.
We're just in each place for a few days so if anyone has any recommendations on things to do/see/eat/drink, please fire away as we want to be well prepared.

i used to think the same before i went there for the first time.
Me too, tbh. My friend was browsing at holidays and found a week in Vegas for less than £560 each (flights & hotel) so on a whim I booked it for me and my lad and we had an absolutely brilliant time. I'd probably not have bothered if she hadn't done all the hunting around for a deal, we usually just do European city break type holidays.

Anyway, i think people who can have a lie-in but blithely ignore this wonderful luxury and get up to do laundry or something similar should be ashamed of themselves for wasting such a privilege . Yes you Jill ffs.
Moaning bloody Minnie.

I'm starting to regularly wake (and actually get up) at 5am. What's that all about?!
For the last year or so I've routinely woken up at anywhere between 4.30-6.30am on a weekend and always just get up then. I think the latest I can remember sleeping in recent months is about 7.30am.
I sometimes fall back into a light sleep on the sofa while watching TV or listening to the radio once I've gone downstairs, but generally speaking I'm up for the day. It's especially nice at this time of year because I always chin the neighbours at getting the washing on the line first.
I must admit I love waking up early, wor lad likes a lie in so it's a bit of time to myself to catch up on whatever I want to watch/read. I'd absolutely hate it if one day I ended up sleeping in until 10 or something, it'd feel like a real waste.
When I've got work mind I usually try and doze if I wake up early rather than getting straight up. With the exception of Friday mornings, those are for bathroom cleaning as soon as I wake up.

Just cancelled my season ticket.
I feel a bit like I've euthanised a dying relative.

Nope, still a midget.
And saw the pic of my lookalike. It's definitely close!

Random! Maybe she's the doppelganger I've always wondered about - I constantly seem to get people say they've seen me in weird and wonderful places around the north east when it definitely wasn't me. She's obviously blessed with good lucks though, so your brother has done well for himself.
I met up with a somewhat old-school Toontasticer (Rach/I'm On Speed) last night and she couldn't resist asking after Gemmill.
We also reminisced about her puking Brown Ale all over SJP.

ST holder, not going. It's been about the day out rather than the match itself for ages so will just have that part and skip the match this time.

She doesn't look impressed.

Started on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt this morning after finishing BoJack Horseman. I quite like it.

Anyone heard of this shit?
I've read about those before. I presume it was through this list since I tend to read Listverse quite regularly and I like the "mystery" lists.

If I don't, someone else should. It's for Newcastle, Durham, Hartlepool & Sunderland.

I was going to apply for Come Dine With Me but the application form needs me to think, and I can't really be bothered to do that. Might see how productive I feel tomorrow at work.

My auntie went round my gran's and put them all back by mistake, the daft cow.

I've got that, just over my heart...until it was diagnosed I thought I was having a heart attack twice a week.
When it started last week I assumed it was some sort of anxiety brought on by the stinking hangover I was experiencing at the time. 5 days later, probably not.

I thought I'd pulled a muscle in my chest but Dr Google seems to indicate I may have costochondritis. Certain movements and deep breathing are agony. I went for a run this morning and after half a mile was ready to collapse onto the floor, I think a passing dog walker was on the verge of calling an ambulance.
Now bored and frustrated because it's not often the urge to run strikes these days and I have a feeling doing some weights at the gym wouldn't be too clever either.

Does anyone else watch Shameless US? It's a bit of a guilty pleasure, better than the UK one.
-
I can't stand Clarkson or Top Gear so naturally I think anyone signing a petition to save him is a bit tragic.

Samuel Smith's organic cider. It's a lovely drop, but unless this last warm mouthful contains a miracle it hasn't cured the horrendous rum hangover I'm suffering. Back to water and Pepsi Max I suppose.

I liked it but it was definitely a case of people liking the characters so much that they all gave them happy endings. I think going so far into the future with it was a bit of a mistake but I liked a lot of the little jokes and callbacks in it.
Yeah the future thing didn't sit right with me at all. I can see what they were going for but just couldn't get into it.

I'm a big Parks & Rec fan but I thought that last episode was really poor. It wasn't as funny as it can be and I didn't find it particularly emotional either (and this is from someone who blubbed at the last episode of The Office). It won't take much away from what has been a great show but I really think they could've done a lot better.

I've grown by a full foot!

What are people making of Fortitude? I've not watched this week's yet but if it's shite I think we're sacking it off. Vaguely intriguing isn't enough to keep me interested, I have concerns about it being another Flash Forward.

It was absolutely rubbish like, you could see a mile off that the first reveal wasn't the real thing and even someone like me who never watches it could work out who she'd be covering for.
The whole thing just made me want to watch the similar Simpsons episode.
