  1. Pretty sure, you are on about the team. I even acknowledged the current team has a slightly better midfield.
  2. Duff was playing on the right for them though, when you say he was "integral", so what's Robben got to do with it? He was played in that position too, you know, he could play more than one position like Lovenkrands, he's both a winger and a striker. So anyway, he was a surplus to requirements, world class, integral member of the Chelsea side then, is what you're saying He was a world class winger who became surplus to requirements. It might shock you to know but teams like Chelsea have virtually world class players in every position. Twat. What kind of idiot makes an ""integral" part of the team surplus to requirements? Have you not grasped what I'm getting at yet? Do you think it's possible that they had replaced him because he wasn't integral or world class? Not even crossed your mind? Chelsea had world class players in every position, not just one, they came in twos. He was integral one season, they decided to play a different formation the next. Ergo, given that Robben was better, he was no longer required. Just to add, they didn't replace him directly until the following season when they signed Malouda. But Robben/Malouda are wingers, hmmm, but you said Duff went due to a formation change. So errr. Highlighting the fact, they changed formation that season to the diamond. They also kept Robben just incase as the main winger.
  3. Jonas doesn't even start in a full strength midfield though. Ben Arfa, Tiote, Nolan, Barton or Duff Parker Butt AgedSolano N'Zogbia Emre Parker Milner Owen Martins or Ben Arfa Tiote Nolan Barton Ameobi Lovenkrands/Best Previous, all day long.
  4. Any doubts yet? Yes? No? Good night Flair mate Night.

  6. I don't know why I am even arguing about Duff, tbh. Fact remains, N'zogbia/Duff at the time were better than Jonas of today.

  8. You are humouring yourself. He's a fucking winger. Look at our current first choice winger, Jonas. How many assists/goals has he got in his entire career here? Daft sod. He got 2 assists in our last game World class Duff got 3 in a full season when you claim he was integral to their title winning side, you mug. On top of this, when Ben Arfa was fit Jonas wasn't getting in the team. That suggests that he's not 'first choice' at all. You really do know nothing. Goals son. That is 3 goals in 18 games. Jonas has got 1 in 57 in the Premier league. Pipe down. You're right then. He was integral in their title winning side and our £5million bid was just too much for the oil tycoon at Chelsea to turn down How much was Ben Arfa? Must be shiet then. The fact that you've even just posted that proves what I'm dealing with here Comprehension issues. You are going by price.... I seem to remember Duff wanted out because he was going to be surplus to requirements. Add to that, pretty sure his contract was near completion. Net conclusion, price doesn't ALWAYS determine a player's skill level. Who said it did? COMPREHENSION issues. Why would an 'integral' player overnight become 'surplus to requirements'? Stopped playing with two wingers? Change of formation because they got Ballack on a free. Moreover, Robben was clearly a better player.

  13. I give up. Making irrational comparisons now, sit down and re-think what you write. Why is it irrational? You're claiming Duff was world class because Chelsea won the league before we signed him. Like Joe Cole and Liverpool. Exactly the same scenario. You obviously didn't watch them win the league that season, if you think he was tearing defences up Duff was integral to that team.. He only started half of their games you tit That he did but his contributions on the wing with Robben were vital. Not just that season but the season before.

  16. Our midfield this year is COMFORTABLY better than the one back then. Not even debatable. We've got the top goalscoring midfielder in the league ffs. I write fuckin' how it's pronounced over here, I couldn't give a fuck about giving you any abuse, I don't care about your opinions on soccer enough to warrant it, because your comments re: the midfield prove that they aren't very clever ones. Run along, sport! Shows you know fuck all, it's better marginally. Likes of N'Zogbia and Milner would walk into our team. Didn't we even try and blow £12million on N'Zogbia on deadline day?
  17. The irony. You twat, you are trying to compare 2011 versions of those players..... Back then, people like Duff were world class. Am I the only one laughing at this cunt? Was Duff ever world class for us? What a mug, your first name is Deep and you live in London. What a know-nowt jester Am I missing something? Duff won the title with Chelsea in 2005-2006. He tore open defences. He got injured during the 2006-7 season and was hampered. Seriously, you are a a mug.
  18. Do you often forget things quickly? Twat.
  19. The irony. You twat, you are trying to compare 2011 versions of those players..... Back then, people like Duff were world class.
  20. What about Ben Arfa? Nolan? Simpson? I would argue Duff was one of the best left-wingers in the world at the time so no. If we play both Tiote+Barton, where does Nolan fit in? You fuckwit. I would probably have a then Carr, tbh.
  21. Do you really think that it's because we have vastly improved? Our number one striker is bloody Leon Best. In reality, the fact reamins that other teams have significantly worsened such that there is a massive gap between 7th place and 6th place. Under the old board, we were much closer to the big boys than we are now. If mickey mouse clubs like Blackpool can make a fist of it, do you really think we are improving? If you cannot grasp said concept, I suggest that you wake up and smell the coffee. Oh and that bolded bit, not when they sold up we weren't. And that's a FACT. Man Utd had just won the league with more than double our points tally. They now have less than double our points tally, meaning we're closer to them. You got any FACTS to back up your coffee smelling, apart from pointing out that Leon Best is playing up front for a team out-performing the one that Shepherd left (don't really see your point there) Are you trying to emulate Benitez with all your facts? It's a fact that I/you for that matter, would much rather have that same team when the old board left than our current one. It's a fact that we got lucky that we bounced back from relegation. Dare I say it, it is also a fact that you are speaking with your Ashley-tinted spectacles on again. Really? You're a fuckin' mug then If I am a mug to prefer having a team with genuine good quality forwards, so be it. Tool. Who were they like? Are you referring to Oba, now on loan at Birmingham, that thought he was so good that he didn't need to show up for training the season we went down? Or maybe Owen or Viduka? It's warmer in the treatment room than it is on those dark December days in Newcastle. the fact that you'd prefer any of those, ESPECIALLY with the benefit of hindsight, is fuckin' ridiculous. Nah man, I would clearly prefer Lovenkrands and Best. You utter twat. Me too, because they actually want to play games. Did you even watch a game that season? It's becoming pretty evident that you know NOTHING about football. Fucking hell, are you really trying to suggest you would rather have Lovenkrands+Best over 2006/2007 Owen+Martins? Then, to have the cheek to suggest I know nothing about football. Couldn't make it up.

  23. You sad, sad mug. To back up your point, you resort to this. No doubt, my viewpoint will be mirrored.
