What about those married or in committed relationships?
-
Nice immediate impact from ASM.

One terrible mistake was all it took. Totally called it about Lascelles and his defensive line, he was in no mans land there.

Is Willems facial hair the worst we've ever had?
-
Tickets sold. At least 4,000 down.

Love the way Almiron skips over the surface with the ball. Joelinton's work rate, control and physicality look very good, but then this is a pretty poor Arsenal defense.

Quite a few empty seats but only visible when they show those sections, otherwise you'd easily mistake it for close enough to a sell out. As far as performance goes the players are mostly doing well, final ball quality has been lacking and there's some communication errors showing up but the formation has been holding up. Their pace in midfield and wide is what has and will continue to trouble us, Manquillo, Ritchie and Shelvey all giving up plenty in that respect. Lascelles has to be better at keeping our defensive line that could easily cost us. We've had a trademark Dummett sliding tackle so I'm somewhat contented.

Quite obtrusive and splitting hairs on some, but nothing wrong technically.

Andy Carroll....Local Hero! O̶r̶ ̶J̶u̶d̶a̶s̶?

And the circus continues -
Based on his youtube "highlights" he looks reasonable playing against lightweight French attackers. Reeks of another buy based on potential rather than the specific requirements to strengthen the team. He appears to be more defensively minded than able to transition into attack. He has pace but his touch didn't appear consistent. Wants to play it out also despite not being super convincing at doing so so could cost us if he's not strong and gets caught out. Assuming he even gets on the pitch regularly. Still, hope he does well.

I support a pay as you play deal, Carroll to pay 15k per appearance. He also has to buy back my Carroll shirt from 2010 at full retail.

He's is that category, pretty much all players are. It's largely driven by agents.

It's an ad for some Chinese Sports Performance monitoring company/thing.

0-4 at the end, we were largely terrible, second best, second rate. Before the match Tim Sherwood was trying to make a point that Rafa couldn't get the best out of his players because he didn't think they were any good, and therefore Bruce will be able to get more out of some of our players. Newsflash Tim, the players aren't any good.

It's just for this tournament. The translation is "80% off".
-
We've put one in the back of the net finally. 0-4
-
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse.... it's Michael Owen in the studio.
-
Buoyed by the announcement of their new manager they're eager to impress.

FITE! After some terrible defending we conceded a second, I can't tell and don't really care whether it was a good finish or just Karl Darlow standing in the wrong spot. And we've just conceded another with some even worse defending. Jota tackled a dallying Hayden in the middle of our box and slotted it home.

0-1 down. About what you'd expect in a pre-season game, it's slow and we're second best.

His song is a great one. Back to team news, Lazaar and Colback start.

In a match described world wide by pundits as happening in China, the north east giants Newcastle United take on the West Midlands behemoths Wolverhampton Wanderers. It's a battle for the ultimate victory, over 90 or thereabouts confirmed minutes of regulation football. The whole of Nanjing either will or won't be on the edge of their seats in anticipation for what many supporters could be calling the biggest football match to be happening at that precise moment in time in Nanjing China. Old scores will be settled at the Olympic Sports Centre, scores like 1-1 and 1-2 come to mind. Early team news suggests that it will be some arrangement of 11 vs another arrangement of 11 in this key football match as both teams lock horns in determining who will be the winner, if indeed there is one. This is being shown live on Sky and on several of the major football showing networks around the world, including the one that I have, so I will be watching this at the prime time of 8PM local time in Sydney, Australia. I'm prepared to be dazzled.
