  1. What changes do people forsee?

I'm struggling a bit to decide what Id change?

Possibly the hopeful Ben Arfa roll of the dice or maybe Remy on????

I reckon Remy would have more of an impact than Ben Arfa , keep Cisse on and see if remy can split their defence and feed some balls across to him

  2. I'm going to watch it in the famous 3 kings tomorrow, usually get a good newcastle crowd in there and it's not too far from where I live. Not the best pub in the world but plenty of screens

  3. It's the best, isn't it? :D

I get to do it every weekend with the Premier League, although no blowjobs and bacon I'm afraid. Am taking off work for the derby though!

what do you do btw? a company i'm freelancing at are just about to start a project designing some of the video control equipment

  4. Just got back from watching all the Europa league match footage been edited and sent out for live broadcast, looks like a fun / stressful job, basically a load of footsie fans in a room who segment the live feed everytine there is something of interest in a game, and shout out "goal / shot / miss etc team name" to the producer. Ended up watching 12 games at once - a lot to take in!

  5. Isn't this a rip off the Australian train advert?

They couldn't have done a worse job if they were trying to create a similar light-hearted warning video. The Austrailian reel is beautifully executed, the Metro version is like a 14 year old intern has been left with the task.

  6. As much as a cock Ronaldo is / was last night with his dive, his finish for Madrid's first goal was incredible. Most players would never have got that into the net from that angle having rounded the keeper at pace, it was almost like a golfing wedge shot the way he slotted it in.

"On Monday, October 7th, Grasshopper completed its highest leap to date, rising to 744m altitude. The view above is taken from a single camera hexacopter, getting closer to the stage than in any previous flight.

Grasshopper is a 10-story Vertical Takeoff Vertical Landing (VTVL) vehicle designed to test the technologies needed to return a rocket back to Earth intact. While most rockets are designed to burn up on atmosphere reentry, SpaceX rockets are being designed not only to withstand reentry, but also to return to the launch pad for a vertical landing. The Grasshopper VTVL vehicle represents a critical step towards this goal.

Grasshopper consists of a Falcon 9 rocket first stage tank, Merlin 1D engine, four steel and aluminum landing legs with hydraulic dampers, and a steel support structure."

This video just blew my mind.

Aye, I think it's basically a replacement for the reserve league with the restriction that you're only allowed 3 overage outfield players and 1 overage goalkeeper.

Cheers fella, thougtht it would be something along those lines, trying to get more youngn's breaking through instead if the reserves being full of over-paid players on big contracts they can't shake off.

  9. Why? When was the last time he played 3 centre backs?

I can see him going defensive and playing counter attack, they tore us apart last season with through balls. Maybe not this formation exactly, but I can see him changing it around to pack the centre of the pitch, perhaps 451.

  10. If that formation happens I will personally kidnap CT and hang him up for display in fenwicks window.

I'm back in newcastle for this game so here's to hoping!

Just to note - this isn't a formation I want to see him play, but I can see him doing something along these lines.

  11. Just caught West Ham's goals from yesterday.

Morrisons goal was worth the win (not sure who it was, but the touch and lay-off as the ball is played to him to start the counter attack is a beaut) but Reid and Vas Te got a big chunk of luck with both their goals - had either of them being for Cisse, no doubt the ball would have been in row Z with his luck at the moment.

  12. My lass's dad has a similar problem and he swears by rubbing crushed garlic and butter into his feet at night. He says he wears a sock on top overnight and in the morning the swelling's always gone.

I'm sure his misses must be loving that!

  13. Has anyone heard much about 'The Millers'?

I've no clue as to whether its good or not, but caught an advert for it yesterday and noticed it has Will Arnett in it so hopefully it has promise!

  14. Regarding the Liverpool game:

As much as I'd like to see Pardew go for it and keep with the current system of Gouf / Cisse / Remy, I really don't think he's got the Kahuna's for it, especially after the pummeling we took from them last season.

I can see him playing 5-3-2 or similar, packing the centre of the pitch and having Jonas / Debuchey as full backs / wing backs.

    Krul

    Debuchy - Williamson - Collo - Taylor - Jonas

    Sissoko - Tiote - Cabaye

    Remy - Gouffran

It saddens me to say we'll play this defensive when you see the likes of Hull taking on the big boys and not being afraid, but I think Pardew will want to nick a moral boosting draw or at least see only a couple of goals shipped past us due to the following games and how easily we seem to lose confidence.
