Honestly I dont know why you bother. You clearly have no interest in discussing football and are just here to release pent up frustration. I'll try one last time. Do you understand fans of the same team can have different opinions? Do you understand that genuine Newcastle fans do exist who dont like Jonas? Do you understand that 30 passes and none into the box from a winger is an issue? Do you understand that Marveaux played a blinder, set up goals and scored for the reserves? (And yes I know its just reserves) Do you undesrtand that against Scunthorpe in an otherwise poor performance, he did well in Jonas's position? Do you realise that his record until last year was excellent? Do you realise he was on the verge of signing for Liverpool? If you understand all or even some of the above, then you may comprehend that it is not UNREASOABLE for some fans to call for him to play instead of Jonas. You may also on reflection realise that such a view doesnt quite justify your ranty posts or name calling and that you are only heading for a coronary.

I'd stick with Obertan on the right at the minute. He hasnt set the world alight by any means but he does get about getting tackles in and can creates as his run and pass for Ba to set up Best, showed.

If you wernt such an angry man you may be able to work out that I am talking about this season and what we need to do in this team, not what happened last year or who was sold. As it stands, we are not creating chances for the strikers, regardless of how shit they are and thats all that matters. If you have a winger, who for whatever reason is not managing to cross the ball into the box, then its only fair to consider alternatives. IMO Giving Marveaux a start might improve the attacking situation. Its a pretty simple point that doesnt need all the rants tbh.

Think you've got to start to look at the two things separately though. They're part of two different phases of the clubs history; i) when we spent money (Barton, Enrique, Nolan, (panic premium) Coloccini) and, ii) now we don't (Ben Arfa, Tiote etc). The last lot wont come down on wages so they'll be away provided someone will pay them more. Coloccini will go in a year if he's still in demand by other clubs, there'll be no footballing decision involved. It's a phasing out, so really from a footballing point of view the test is only about who comes in the other way. Good sensible post that.

Watching said players. Ferguson has done it on many occasions and Marveaux has done it in the reserve game he played and a few times against Scunthorpe. Not having the old for / against Jonas argument but we need to start getting creative from the left and at the minute its not working.

Its nice having a two week break as well to allow all the new arrivals this week time to settle in.

And if we dont do something like this we will come a cropper pretty soon. Need proper creativity and we aint getting it with Jonas.

Time to retire Jonas to the Bench and get this guy on from the start. The sooner he starts getting a game, the sooner we will get some decent service into the box and the sooner the likes of Ba etc can get some goals. I would love to see Pardew give Shane and Marveaux a go on the left against some of the lesser opposition as I think they would terrorise some defences.

I made the comparison based on his passing, his work rate and his crunching tackles. I think a lot are seeing he's probably the closest thing we've had to Lee. In fairness if we can get the front and wingers playing a bit better I think we will see a lot more of his attacking abilities just outside the box and a fair few goals screaming in.

It was meant to re-start today until I realised it was a Bank Holiday. Caught a glimpse of myself in a shop window yesterday and thought ..."you fat fucker" Probably the angle of the window tbf but at it from Tomorrow. Weigh in at 7.30am.
