Aye, but he's an atheist

What the fuck was he doing eating bacon then

Maybe if Milliband had been brave enough to put forward this manifesto and was Jewish, there would be peace and harmony in the world.
-
Jesus, I've mentioned numerous times over the last few pages what I don't like about Labours position on Brexit.... Corbyn as a negotiator Not willing to walk away No stated plan other than "we will do Brexit". Compare that to Mays mansion house speech etc.
-
It may be to you, all I've heard is many EU leaders repeating "there will be no picking of cherrys".
-
The Brexit deal is key to the economy / growth, which is key to being able to do all the nice stuff at home. It boils down to who you trust to get the best deal.
-
I think I've been pretty clear that if they could get their Brexit act together they probably would.
-
But the status quo has gone. It's now nothing else than a massive negotiation.
-
Or you could say he hasn't managed to convince / negotiate successfully with his own MP's. Anyway, I'm not going to argue with you over your viewpoint as that's pretty fruitless. Just giving you my viewpoint as the sort of voter he has to win over if he wants the job.
-
The numerous re-runs on referendums they didn't win, their dealings with Greece, their comments following Brexit of wanting to punish the U.K. Macron even called it a crime. These are hard nosed sharks that (imo) would devour Corbyn.
-
I like Labours domestic manifesto, not their Brexit stance.
-
No, I think the Tories WOULD get a very good deal. Nothing Labour has said so far convinces me that they will. Now while I appreciate the general consensus on TT, if Labour want to win they have to convince working class Tory voting leavers. The manifesto has gone a long way, just this Brexit hurdle they need to address.
-
Thats all well and good but the EU is not reknown for being very conciliatory in negotiations.
-
For me she's played pre Brexit perfectly, starting with her mansion house speech and handled sturgeon / Indy ref 2 very well. I do also think that she gets Brexit and understands there was a lot more to it than the EU. She comes across very very well and seems prepared to try and sort out some of the long term problems. However Brexit has changed everything and my ideal scenario would be the Tories implementing Labours manifesto
-
Disagree on Davis and he's backed up by May who has played it pretty well for me. There's still a lot of willy waving going on and we need to be waving, even helicoptering as much as possible before talks start. Labours message on this is all damp squib. They've basically hoisted the white flag already by saying they wouldn't be prepared to walk away from the table. If they want to convince the majority of leavers then they need to come out and start laying some real plans out.

I can just about stomach lower minions taking over the policy wheel from the likes of McDonnel and Abbott, but I still think the PM is going to be involved in a lot of hard ball over Brexit. It doesn't help that there position on this so far has been weak as piss. remember a lot of "men on the street" remember vast numbers of Labour MP's having a vote of no confidence in Corbyn only last summer. As I said 10 days ago the policies are very appealing and even though there's holes in their costings, particularly borrowing, on the whole they've done well. Just Brexit that is the Achilles heel for me. As I've said, it's very close and could go either way.
-
Pretty much as I forecast 10 days ago that Labours manifesto was very good and the polls would change. I certainly didn't foresee such an abysmal Tory manifesto. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot over and over. Expect her to get crucified of Neil tonight. Ad for my man on the street view. My only real worry about a Labour government is the people in charge. I worry that Corbyn would struggle secure a good Brexit deal. I would rather we stay in than get eaten alive in the negotiation. i think if Labour had a better top team this would be in the bag already. It now boils down to how the prime time interview go and whatever Linton Crosby has lined up for the last week.

Hardly Ginger quiff, your jobs safe forever. Ginger quiff, were reviewing staffing levels next month, you may be out.

Has there ever been better guitar play than lynard syknards Freebird

Asked if she could guarantee Trident renewal would remain Labour policy following a defence review, she said: “Well no, of course not, if you are going to have a review, you have to have a review.”
-
Not exact words, but yes.
-
Labour don't help themselves. Shadow defence sec says Tridents safe under labour, shadow home sec says it could be scrapped within months!
-
The issue a lot of people have (not just because of 2007), is that they don't trust Labour on running the economy. personally I think this is one of the best Labour offerings in years, but because they've chucked so much in the pot / and are struggling to cost it, it leaves people thinking it's pie in the sky. understandable to a degree what they've done given how far behind in the polls they were. However I think if they'd had a more polished first team and had got the sums right, the country would have gone for it.
-
Not sure how it will hurt you. Best case scenario, your wage group will get a boost to keep the distinction. Worst case, worse off people get a boost on their lower wages. How would that effect you financially?

I don't profess to be an expert on this but I think it's fairly accepted that national debt was at around 1 trillion in 2010/11 when the coalition took over and is around 1.6 now ?? It started to soar in 2008 when "there was no money left". I think it would be ok if Labour came out and said that's what they wanted to do and people knew where it stood. They would have been better leaving some stuff out and getting the sums to add up. Im even leaving the nationalisation stuff out, which is a whole headfuck just on its own.
