    Cush.

I'd be tempted to revert back to 442. Almiron and ASM on the wings, Dummett back to LB and the Swedish lad at RB.

Exactly my thoughts, with a little tweak, 4-3-1-2

                                      Dubravka

                  Krafth     Schar    Lascells   Dummett

                         Hayden  Longstaff  Shelvey

                                        Miggy

                            Joelie                Maxi

  2. Maxi should have been on earlier, he looked like he can be a good addition to the team.

Joelie & Miggy looked good together, causing problems for the Gunners defense.

'Jethro' was responsible for their goal, he stood waiting for the ball and they didn't.

Too bad we couldn't have earned a point.

  3. I have high hopes we will get something out of this game, perhaps not points but encouraging signs that we are going to be OK.

We know Miggy has quality, capable of bringing excitement and getting bums off seats.

We don't really know how much quality Joelie & Maxi will bring to the table but reports of their prowess are favourable. We can hope that the loss of Perez & Rondon will be over-shadowed by the skill of these two newbies.

The addition of 2 International full-backs, Swedish & Dutch in Krafth & Willems, must surely add strength & diversity to our defense.

I have to believe that with the new signings plus what we already have on-board we should have a stronger squad than last season and not be engaged in another relegation battle.

Mind you, have to remember that the other teams have invariably strengthened too.

But I don't understand this sign in the sense that you have Willems and Dummett in the left back and Manquillo and Yedlin in RB. Anohter Right back?? Why?

Because Manquillo & Yedlin are not top-notch Premier League full-backs. Not saying Krafth is but let's hope so.

And let's hope Willems is as good, or better, than Dummett.

Dear Andrew,  my expiration date is probably closer than a lot of people and I just don't have the time  or patience to mess with such a list.

My interest is only in Newcastle United , its players, and progress if any.:)

  6. I see Wolves have signed a young Italian striker for much less money than we paid for Joelie, and he seems to have a better goal-scoring record.

Maybe our seekers aren't looking in the right places for bargain-basement young talent that suits Ashley's agenda.

Let's hope Joelie proves to be a jewel in Ashley's tiara.

    Lost 2-1

Nothing to smile about you wanker.

JFW, our 2 record-breaking new signings were responsible for the loss. Miggy misses a penalty and Joelie gives a penalty away which they don't miss.

Back to the drawing board Mr. Bruce.

I never liked Jack Charlton when he was our manager but I saw a quote from him relatively recently where he said there was only one team apart from England that he got out of his seat for and that was Newcastle.

Met Jack Charlton twice in his retirement years, once at the North Shields fish quay when he was out for his fish n' chips, and once among the crowd at  St James' Park at a league game. Spoke to him both times and he seemed happy to be recognized and quite happy to pass the time of day with me.

C'mon you wankers, give Steve Bruce a chance! He may not be what we want, he may not have a good track record, he may not be fit to fill Rafa's shoes, but he is all we've got so give him a chance and hope he doesn't make you eat your words.

Not saying love him, not saying welcome him, not saying anything but give him a fucking chance, he stands between us and relegation FFS. Surely you want him to do a good job for the Toon.

  9. I think it was a brilliant decision for beloved Mr. Ashley to hire a Geordie.

I think Mr. Charnley was brilliant assisting Mr. Ashley in hiring a Geordie.

I think Mr. Bruce, the Geordie, will surely bring feelings of some magnitude to every supporter home or abroad.

I think, deeply, we should applaud Mr. Ashley & Mr. Charnley for their astuteness in hiring a Geordie.

I do think I have exhausted my plan to tell anymore terminologicalinexactitudes.
