Right, this is a little thing that I've had going for a while, and I'm begginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

You put 20 pound or so, in your betfair account, and put it on a game you think there is going to be a goal in.

You can virtually pick the game where there is guaranteed goals, eg Man U-Watford. Very rarely is there a goaless draw in the premiership, and you can probably think of some other fixtures elsewhere in the world, where there is bound to be goals. So you put say 20 on a goal to be scored in the Man U-Watford game, at the decimal odds 1.07. So roughly speaking, for every tenna you put on, you'll get 70p back. Whatever you win, you put on the next game, you'll put on 21.40, and at the same odds you'll get 23.10 back, then you put the 23.10 on the next fixture etc etc.

Most games go at 1.1 decimal odds, so roughly after 5 games, you'll end up with 31.50. After 10 games you'll have roughly 51.40, at 20 games you'll have 132.60, at 30 you'll have 343.00. This is obviously, you putting your winnings from the last game, directly onto the next.

Milestones

50 games gets you 2306 pounds

60 games gets you 7235 pounds

Obviously, you've got to have bottle putting that kind of money on a wager, but when its something as simple as a goal being scored, it's not as hard as it seems.

Eventually, getting to 100 successful games will get you more that a million pounds.

I'm currently on 34, giving me around 420 quid. When I hit the five grand mark (if), I'm going to take out four of it, and put the other grand on the next game.

Even the most cautious of lads can do this, if you can select only two teams per week, to at least score, over the period of twleve months, you'll have at least 90+ bets, and if your daring, you'll make a shit load of cash. Takes patience though, as it seems your winning nowt at the start.

Nice idea mate. Think I might do that, is it only betfair that does it?

Aye, just betfair, go to total goals, then click +1.

Dave, seems too good to be true, but my daft mates put 300 quid or so on a goal in the Inter-Sampdoria game last night, since Inter beat them away 0-2 last time they played.

Nil-Nil draw, they got fucked! Now Betfair have 300 quid, for doing fuck all.

I always stick to english football myself.

But by saying your mates were daft to place that bet implies that if you're not daft everyone can make money. How can this possibly work? Sorry i'm being a bit obstructive here.

Nah, I'll say they were greedy. They put on 6 bets in the week, and didn't really need to put the Sampdoria game one(didnt even check the starting lineup, before placing the bet), they normally wouldn't, but they wanted to make the money fast, when this style of betting will take months.

I bet if you pick 4 games a week, that will have at least one goal in, I bet you'd come out smiling.

Start picking 6-10 games out, your running a risk, and put 10+ (and foreign leauges), then your insane.

Like I said, two games a week, over 12 months, will make you thousands. If you have the bottle to put your winnings on again, the next game.

Fair enough you can roll your winning over early on, but then you have to look at splitting your bets. Seeing as it is inevitable that sooner or later a game will be 0-0, you are relying purely on self control.

Why not get to say, £200 then split 2 or even 3 ways. If you're betting strategy is that good, it won't take you too long to get back to where you were before and seeing as patience is the key, why piss away good winnings on 1 result?

Yes, thats why I'm holding out for a few grand first. I actually wouldn't be too fucked if there was a sneaky 0-0 in the future, I only put 20 quid on, after all. But I'm very confident I pick 3/4 games that will have goals in, in the world of football, every week.

Like you said, self control is the key, set a target, hit the target, take the money out, and put a bit back in.

By the way, are you backing on these bets, or laying 0-0- in which case are you laying £2 at 11, with a resultant liability of £20

Or am I missing a 'back a goal' option?

Backing. Theres a 'total goals' option mate.

do you not lose everything if you pick one 0-0 game?

why not just keep betting on Chelsea not to lose?

can't see the point tbh

You could do that, but they only play a maximum of once a week, and the odds would be something like 1.04.

If you can't see the point fair enough, not for everyone, is it?

you're basically just hoping for a string of near dead certs. But, get 0-0 just once and you lose the lot

there is a reason why you get a million quid after 100 games, because it is nigh on impossible

there's no advantage to this, long term or not

edt: 'can't see the point' as in can't see how this is any different to placing a lot of low odds bets

Whats nigh on impossible on selecting 2 games you think there will be a goal in, over a period of 12 months?

It's not any different from any other low odds betting, It's just method I'm using, and it's working well for me.

Aye, there is a reason, you're putting insane amounts of money on, come 60/70 games, thats why you'd get a million. Noone said they would get that far, or aim that far, it was said in context.

Now please, fuck off ,MONG

aye, well explained fuckface

now just to be sure I've got this, say you get to 5 games and your £30, and you pick a 0-0, you walk away with nothing right? Five bets for the return of absolutely jack shit

hold on though,

the way betfair works is that other "punters" take your bets and act as the bookies therefore you need to find enough people willing to take on thousands of pounds worth of almost dead cert loser bets.

I am however interested in being one of those ie lay the bets off, staking £1.40 to win £20.
