tbf it's been a while since I listened to the AM, but their guitar play and general lyric ability is far superior to The Kaiser Chiefs.

Most of that AM play will be the first album, think I have only listened to the second album twice.

They're neither of them Prince. I think far superior is pushing it.

Either way, your list conists almost entirely of top 40 artists. So to claim someone else knows fuck all about music because they don't despise another popular beat combo is a bit rich.

Mark Ronson - Oh My God

I like Mark Ronson, Here Comes The Fuzz was a quality album, I like The Kaiser Chiefs, their first album had some class pop songs on (Oh My God included), I’ve even liked some of Lily Allens stuff, her Dizzee Rascal collaboration was class, but this is the worst song from Version.

Automatically voided anything you have ever said or ever will say about music . Forever.

Your taste is similarly average, I'd step down off that high horse.

Saw Arctic Monkeys live last week.

Went with an open mind given the hype surrounding them, and I've liked one or two of their songs.

Unfortunately they were absolute shite. All the songs were generic, boring affairs, the band clearly didn't give a shit, no enthusiasm or energy in the performance and no encore. Bland, tedious and samey.

Overrated shit.

Ah nice one,

They werent very good when i saw em at leeds 2006,

The first album is class like

who was good then?

Cataract (swiss metal band) were probably our fave. Met them after the gig an arl.

Muse were great, Matt Bellamy's guitar is insane!

Robert Plant was good, did a few Led Zep songs but no Stairway To Heaven.

Also saw Zucchero who we really enjoyed. Didn't think he'd be much cop but we ended up seeing all of his 2 hour set, finished with a cover of You Are So Beautiful. Might have a look around for his greatest hits.

And Pink was quite good as well. Still not a major fan of her songs, but the crowd were really up for it and she seemed to really enjoy herself. Even said it was her best crowd of the summer. Got 20,000 people singing What's Going On (aye a cover). She was wearing an incredibly short skirt as well... ;)

Arcade Fire did a good set as well.

Bjork was there but we wanted to see Cataract instead. Caught her last few songs and they were awful so all's well.

Yeah. Full of stoners and smokers mind, but there were huge crowds on the main stage.

They also had a world tent where they had African music which was always good if you were after something different.

Forgot to mention the best band we saw. Galaxie 500. They were on right after Muse so when everyone was buggering off, me mate and I managed to get to the front row for them. Absolutely brilliant live band.

The boy you all mocked, Brock, shows everyone up by liking Galaxie 500. Brilliant.

n.b. after they originally split, the members went on to form Damon & Naomi and Luna, if you're interested in further delvings.

Muse - mostly shite

Pink Floyd - mostly shite

Sufjan Stevens - mostly shite

Queens of the Stone Age - mostly shite

Led Zeppelin - complete and utter shite

The Go! Team - very good

Gorillaz - alright

Rage Against the Machine - shite

The Arcade Fire - shite

Snoop Dogg - canny

Daft Punk - nonsense

Mylo - poo

Arctic Monkeys - good

Nirvana - very good

Interpol - very good.

Public Enemy - ok

The Fall- very good

Anyway, apart from the Roses and Mondays and the fact that you can wear Adidas with pride if you saw them in the old days, music is too subjective question. Mostly. Except any fucker with a Les Paul and a waist coat singing 'more than a feeling' etc
