She should tour the States more- she sounds like every fucking retard around here that fails to even consider a retribution vs. deterrent type of argument when it comes to crime and punishment. Let's just get Old Testament on the whole thing and burn everyone! BLOOD! In fairness harsher punishments do tend to work better as a deterrent, but again of course getting the wrong person is even worse. It is insane how lenient the UK system is now, though. You could double or triple most sentences (actually served) and it would still probably be deemed far too short by most of society.
