Alex 42163 Posted April 3, 2015 Share Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Really? Why? Vinyl is a more pure sound, vhs is just poor quality. It's the same sort of thing. Vinyl is worse quality too. The 'warmth' is just the hiss you get from the needle picking up sound. It's still there when the music starts playing. CDs got a bad rap initially because in the rush to get stuff released loads of old albums were badly mastered. A properly mastered CD sounds better than vinyl ever could. I can understand a preference for the packaging or whatever though. The main advantage of vinyl is some stuff did and still does to a lesser extent only get a vinyl release.
